I want to get a new 64bit mobo, but not quite sure on what to get. I'm planning on getting a 2800/3000+ for it. I'm not much of an ocer and will be using my old ram (pc2700).
- I'm not gonna raid or use SATA
- AGP 8x, no pci-x cuz i will be using my 6800.

I'd like a program that'll tell me how much bandwidth a program has been using in a set period of time.

I have a
GigaByte GA 7VA-C Mobo ( LINK )
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
1 GB PC2700 RAM (currently underclocked to 2100 to match fsb of proc).
Nvidia 6800
220 GBs of HD Space.
I'm thinking about upping the proc to a 2800+. Would this be the best upgrade or should i ditch the mobo?
I have a 2000+ now with 266mhz bus and I'm underclocking my memory to meet this speed. So, I'm thinking about buying a 333mhz proc (mobo will support 333mhz) and I was wondering what to get. What would be the best bang for the $ right now? I'd prefer retail cpus cuz i'm not an ocer.

Latency when i look in bios is 2.5 (set to auto).

i set it to 2.5 manually in bios, and still the same results.
what could be wrong?
btw, i have a gigabyte ga-7va-c with ocz and crucial memory sticks.
I know where to change the fsb speed in bios, but what else do i need to do?
i'm doing this to match my RAM speed (pc2700). should i worry about temperature??

I'm thinking about upgrading my video card (currently a GeForce4 MX 440 128MB :( ) to a 9800 pro or maybe even a cheap x800.
The deal is, my motherboard (GigaByte (GA 7VA-C) only supports AGP 4x. Since most of these new cards are 8x, will they work on my mobo? Would it be worth upgrading my...
I'm on a 10mbps LAN at school and i was wondering if i could stream some baseball games to some friends w/o TV.
i have a winfast tv2000 deluxe
winxp pro
I have winfast PVR, and i was wondering what the best codec to use to record a football game.

any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
I have NIS setup to content filter and pop up block and it is password protected.
However, i see that users can go into control panel -> add remove -> nis -> manage -> and reset password.
any way to prevent users from resetting my password?

these files can be opened up in other viewers though.
I have this video (mpeg4) that is 30mb for 2 minutes.
I was wondering how I could re-encode it to divx or any other format that will reduce size while keeping quality.
I have 1024/128 cable now and its split 3 ways through a router.
so if computer1 is downloading at 100kbps, how big of an impact will this have on computers2 and 3?
i've tried experimenting around with this, but nothing is conclusive (meaning they keep changing time to time)
I'm trying to get video from a camcorder (which has s-video out) to a pc.
