Alot of people have reported that their Abit NF7 clocks best with older BIOS versions
And yes you should be able to "downgrade" to your origianl BIOS.
The Nforce Ethernet on my NF7-S 2.0 craps out when FSB is above 200 Mhz. @210 the connection stops responding after a few minutes! I know alot of people run their Nf7s above 210 without connection troubles so it should be possible. My system pass memtest86+ and prime95 but lan is very unstable...

One of my friends just bourght the Suma GF3 Ti200 Special edition, it comes with 3.6 ns. RAM. But the 3.6 ns RAM on this card is'nt stable when running @ 240 (480 DDR) Mhz! I find this really starnge as the 4 ns. RAM on my ASUS V8200 ti2 deluxe is 100% stable at 250 (500 DDR) Mhz.
This makes me...
On my A7V133 PC Probe displays 10 C. higher than the BIOS. So I dont know if my Tbird-900 is running at 40 or 50 C. !!! (the 50 C stated by Probe made me invest in a Silverado Cooler, but my Tbird is still very hot I think)

If you can, wait for the N-force solution, it looks very interesting.
If you cant wait, the choice really depends on DD / SD-RAM (In Denmark DD-RAM is still rather expensive, so personally I don't think its worth the 10-20 % perfomance, but maybe N-force will change this!
It sure sound weird, but I cant see how its possible to destroy 2 Mobo this way. I think the MoBo are both defect, because the fan for the VT8363A should start when you power on your system!!!

I have a A7V133 (and Im happy :-)
