Don't know if its mentioned already, I got one from BJs yesterday for $169. The bundle comes with Need for Speed, Offroad Fury2, Splashdown with extra dualshock2 controller.
Where are they selling these? I called 4 local ODs here in RTP NC, they are like Roo... what?? They have no idea what it is. I've been looking for Discovery under $200 for some time. BJ's had one model for 199 but its not Discovery, some older model.
Its not about getting a coaster. Ever since they came up with buffer underrun protection, I never saw coasters. You can have a successful burn still end up with a bad disc. I stopped buying cheap/noname media long time ago. Just not worth it. Whats the point of backing up something if you can't...
I bought a 200 GB Seagate after reading how quiet and reliable they are etc etc. I have to say I'm disappointed. Its noisy (compared to my 120 GB WD), slow and makes clicking noises all the time that makes me uncomfortable leaving anything important on it. Got a replacement and it has same...
Nothing spectacular IMO. Had trouble recognizing some of my hardware when I tried a year ago ( and I don't have any fancy hardware). Much better free distros out there. I'm one of those who don't understand why people want Linux to look like Windows. If I want Windows look and feel, I'll use...
Has anyone noticed both rebates ($30, $30) are from WD? I talked to Outpost and they say both rebates are from WD and one requires original and other requires copy of receipt. Sounds kind of goofy. I cancelled my order.
Had same experience with Amazon. Badly packaged, spindle was broken and several discs were damaged. Didn't return though, discs were MCC, so decided to keep the order. Didn't get any credit for damanged discs.

Probably. That doesn't necessarily mean bad though. FWIW, I have had good experience with Ridata/Ritek discs even when were not Ricohjpn. But generally, I would consider discs from Japan to be of better quality.
G04s are RICOHJPN, atleast some of them. Its the media id. These are excellent discs. I bought a 25 pack a while ago from Amazon. Would anyone in RTP, NC interested in sharing? I can take half. I don't need 100.
I agree $45 for 100 TY is not bad at all. But what makes you think Verbatims are so much better than Riteks? Verbatim doesn't make its own discs, if you get MCCs you are good. If you get CMCs you are screwed. Trust me, I wouldn't take CMCs for free.
I was a SuSe user until 9.0. Ever since Novell took over, it looks and feels different, and I'm not sure where Novell is going with SuSe. I haven't tried 9.1, but I did an ftp install of 9.2 a few days ago, played with it and removed it. I'm now using ProMepis, a Debian based system. It has the...
That is exactly how I listen to my songs. Load selected songs, put it in random and forget it. I wouldn't mind lack of screen either. I think it can also be used as data transfer device like a thumb drive. I probably get a Gig one for myself. I know you can get cheaper/bulkier models or if you...
Well, it depends how you look at it. I would go for 4x Ridata over 2.4x Memorex anyday even with rebate hassle. Amazon had it in stock when I posted that link.
>Where can you buy +RW's for cheaper the 40 cents per disk ?
Though Memorex deal is a decent one, you may want to look at this
These are 4x Ridata discs 50/17.99 (15 MIR). I have both Memorex and Ridata. For speed and compatibility, Ridatas are better.
>I searched google for the coupon codes, but could not find anything. Could you at least point me to the >website that lists the codes? Also, are the coupon codes for Discover cards only? Your topic is not clear on >that matter. Thanks.
I couldn't find the code googling either. I called their...
Thanks, Ordered a car audio HU. Panasonic CQ-C3300U Car MP3/WMA player with remote. Total $130 including shipping with $10 MIR. Not a bad deal for $120.

Forgot to mention, it comes with harnes and install instruction as well, which usually costs around $40-50.
It depends who the disc manufacturer is. Last time I bought Verbatim (thinking I was getting quality discs), I ended up getting CMC. 2/3 of those discs have read errors. Not just one or two red blocks, half the disc turns red. They are pretty much useless. Its one thing if I buy 100 pk for $20...
When you power off, does it remember the last song or goes back to start? The one I have starts over and its a real pain especially for audio books.
Thanks,
SC
I bought a remote control car from them. It worked for a couple of days and broke down.
Just doesn't respond anymore (no, battery is not the problem). Never had a toy going bad
that fast. But i must say, their toys are creative, just wish they had better circuits inside.

You know, that thought crossed my mind. I bought some longten dvd media back in April after reading so much positive feedback on them. They turned out to be very bad. 4 out of 5 have read errors. They are pretty much useless. They burn ok, that doesn't mean anything. Luckily i didn't lose any...
