Please read this manifesto ... I found it to be rather refreshing and a bit funny too. And might enlighten some regarding why a good game is hard to find.

Hi folks, UT2004 went gold at appproximately 10AM eastern time this morning! Atari tells me that they're going to extraordinary lengths to manufacture and ship the game to have it...
I'm curious...! The job listed below is adver'ed @ $40,000yr. For what looks to me like 3, maybe 4 jobs..... I fully understand that in these 'difficult' times we must buck up and multi-task. But for 40 grand a year I'd be thinking "Please, take advantage of me some more!"

Here are the temps with side panel off... reported by AIDA32.
Motherboard 27 °C (81 °F)
CPU 52 °C (126 °F)
CPU Diode 38 °C (100 °F)
Side panel on it'll jump up to 57c on the CPU temp.... this is all under SETI load.
Particulars... It's an XP 2400+ on an A7V8X... Vantec Aeroflow...
So, I've come across a PII 450mhz slot 1 processor... with a blown motherboard. se440bx2 I believe... assuming I can find a replacement board, who built the best back then. Assuming I can find one...
May need more power here... even though all seems to run quite well. Serious Sam SE loves to lockup but that's common with that game, or so it seems.
Have a 350w Antec TruePower PS so quality is there, running 12.416 - 4.865 - 3.28 w/Vcore at 1.68. Mostly just curious if that's within specs...
Simple question...
Asus PC Probe reports that the CPU temp is 39c & CPU fan at 3668rpm.
Sandra Pro reports it as 52c & 2150rpm
I'd say that's quite a difference and would like to know if anyone 'trusts' one reading over the other and why might there be such a large diff in readings....
This is one of those "I have a friend" things... he bought an AMD Duron at an auction site... has some chips on the corners. Sounds like HSF mounting damage, he says it's not bad but I haven't seen it so who knows. Then he says he can't get the 'blue' thermal paste off as it's a used...
