I've decided that trying to do work on my overly fast, glowing, distracting, vacuum-cleaner loud gaming comp is silly. Then I relized my Epson 740 from five years ago is showing its age.
Hmmmm....
...New toys time!
Except... I have no idea what sort of things I'd need to be as...
If x=.999... (meaning .999... repeating into infinity)
then 10x = 9.999... (again, 9.999... repeating into infinity)
Then it stands to reason that 9x will be found from the equation: (10x)-(x)=(9x) This of course holds true.
Therefore, if 10x=(9.999...) and x=(.999...) then...
I figured that out a while ago after a few minutes of hard though.
I forget the exact math it used though and I'm way too lazy to figure it out again. So I'm off to play WoW.
My favorite was a Superbowl commercial a few years back... It was two monkies on trashcans dancing to Carribian music with castinettes, while two senior citizens sat in law chairs next to them.
It then cut to a screen saying something along the lines of "We just wasted 21 million dollars...
A talk box is:
A small amp whos speaker is connected to a tube. The tube is fed into your mouth, where you shape the sound. The vocal mic then picks this up and amps it through the PA.
Its very simple to make.
Small amped speaker --> connected to a flexible tube --> mouth...
That toyta commercial that had the most annoying jingle ever:
"Wash it! Gas it! Gimmie the keys!"

Japanese cars:
Made to drive.
where as...
European cars:
Made to drive.
If you don't understand that, then you will be fine in a Japanese car. Some people got the bug, some don't.
ROFL!
IMO, thats the funniest mental image I can conjure.
Frustrated man... standing over computer with a gas-powered leaf blower revving away... as the cat sits frozen outside feeling rather guilty.
LOL!
Right now I'm running a Rotel RB-990BX 200wpc power amp driven by a trusty NAD7240PE and am quite satisfied, although I'd like to move to a dedicated rotel pre-amp, but my computer spending ruined my Hi-Fi budget.
Oh, and when I was ~15 my dad was getting badly swamped with buiseness as a packing/crating contractor and needed help bad... so I was pulling 12-18 hour shifts during my summer vacation for him hauling stuff around in 90 degree weather.
You can go help out at a comfy little office job...
The idea behind the stones is adding weight to the speaker to cause less cabinet resonance, it does work.
However, throwing a 5 dollar sack of dry cement on top also works just as well. :)
Whenever I scroll down a page of text/website/whatever, or when theres a status bar on the screen that is moving, a deep rubbing-like sound is emmited from my onboard audio.
The only thing I could think of that might cause something like this would be crosstalk... but.. I don't see how...
