Good point. I hadn't thought about the actual clicking control buttons and whatnot. I almost always use keyboard shortcuts, but there are a few things that require a mouse. Thanks for the input. I guess I've lived with it at 6x4, 8x6, 1024x768, now I have to live with it at 1440x900. Maybe...
Yes, I have the Microsoft Zoom Tool, but thats not exactly what I'm looking for, I want to make a single program basically be full screen. Thanks for the suggestion tho.
Its not a DOS program, it was originally written for Windows 95 when screens mostly ran at 640x480 or 800x600. There is a...
Does anyone out there know if there is a way to make a program that was written for a fixed resolution, in this case 640x480, fun full screen on today's newer monitors? My desktop is at 1440x900 and I don't want to lose that space, but its hard to see the program when it runs so small.
I'm...
Does anyone know if there is a service or program that will allow a DOS computer (specifically Concurrent DOS and MS-DOS) to access the internet? Not for surfing and checking email, but simply sending and receiving files via SFTP (ok, ok, I know its not technically the internet). The action...
That happens more often than not. That is why god created rain checks. They had a similar sale 2 weeks ago and I ended up buy 2 of the 5 that I wanted and got rain checked on the other 3, they came in about 4 days.
you beat me to it. I was just about to post this. $40 for a 250gb ext is darn fine. Other deals are decent too. I am also going to pick up the $6.99 volt ohm meter... been needing one of those for a while. Online and instore (instore with coupon -- or just order for instore pickup).
Not really an active hot deal, but pretty hot for those it affects. Posted here for the same reason class action suits are.

sucks that you can't check stock from the website, but if you're headed in anyway, it may be worth taking a look. hard to find a cheap bookcase these days.
+$11 for the printer, true... also +$38 for a 17" crt, if anyone wants one.
Got the whole shebang @ $249 as a new rig for my grammy, cheap as heck, and plays online spades and pogo just fine.
Epson store is full of junk. Nothing there that I want, or if I do, its way over street prices. If anyone finds any good deals in there for the codes, please post it here.

Circuit City this week has 512mb ddr1 kits (Kingston Value Ram if I'm not mistaken... basic, but always been stable for me) for $19.99 after rebate.
Also, I think Office Max had Simpletech 512 and 1GB on sale, $35 and $65 respectively if I recall this week.
Doing this from memory, too lazy...
3 for 3 came in the mail yesterday. Someone remember to post once the online codes become active... June 20th I think... and make with the epson store hot deals once its on.
I have been charged with making a word document that needs to have a built in autoreplace function.
I currently use a macro to add / remove MS 'autocomplete' entries. I need to alter this to make it easy for a user to change or add new entries. I was thinking this would be easy to do, but...
Suprised this wasn't posted already. In store only, not valid at fye.com. Pretty big rebate, but meh, it makes it cheap. I've gotten all the fye rebates I've done in the past.

edit for link.
Also, this is (2) 2GB sticks... for people that may only have 2 slots and want 4gb or any of a dozen other circumstances. Also, 90x2=180 which is > 150. (also, probably limited to 1 rebate). Bla, just $.02ing during the lame url edit.
Got $15 magically in my paypal acct today. Also sent me an email saying so. Looks like others have too, yay for paypal. Boo for ebay banning any mention of google checkout in listings.
Anyone know if this router can be set up as an access point? (Or basically a signal extender that can connect to an existing wireless signal and re-send it. Not sure if access point is the right word.) With on board firmware, 3rd party firmware?
The ad in the paper listed it as a...
I am trying to make a form in MS Word that will have a dropdown box with 4 choices in it (a1, a2, a3, a4 for example) and depending on which option in the dropdown box a user selects, another part of the form is autopopulated (a text box elsewhere on the form) with different text per option...
Ok, so I may have been wrong on ACPI... I'll do some more reading on this. I've RMA'd the mobo already, and the 2nd one gives me the same problem. ECS tech support says its the RAM (even though I have explained to them that memtest86 runs fine for hours (off a boot cd) and it passes the...
ACPI on or off, it doesn't really matter. I can't seem to get past the damn error message. I appreciate all the help though. If the new power supply doesn't fix the problem, I think I'll just take it to the Geek Squad or something and let them deal with it.
Yep, flashing the bios to the newest version was the first thing that I thought of. It didn't help. ACPI is turned off because from everything that I've read, its not a good thing to have on. Basically, from what I understand, it controls power to the peripherals (auto controlled power...
When you clear the cmos by removing the battery (or the battery going bad) I was under the impression that it will always boot to a checksum error because it 'lost' data. Clearing it via the jumper will not yield a checksum error since it didn't 'lose' anything, it simply reset itself to...
I did the pull the battery trick (for about 3 hours) then the only thing I changed in the BIOS was 'boot from cd first,' and it gave me the same error. ECS says its a memory problem, PNY says its a windows problem, and Microsoft says its a motherboard problem. I hate companies.
Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't find that page during my fun fun google searches. Unfortunately it didn't work. The computer booted to CMOS checksum error, which I would assume means I did it right, and after a quick reconfig of the BIOS, it came up with the same error as soon as it tried...
The motherboard has 2 slots, I have 3 different 256mb sticks. I have tried them all in 1 and 2 stick combinations, same error with all of them. I've also played around with the BIOS a bit... bios caching is off, as is ACPI. Haven't overclocked or anything, most everything is at 'optimized...
Ok, here's the error message... bear with me on the extended problem.
"Windows has not found enough extended memory. 7mb of extended memory is required to run Windows NT. You may need to upgrade your computer or run a configuration program provided by the manufacturer."
Here's the...
i don't get it. you called discovercard and asked for $20 and they gave it to you? or you were at $19.99 in your cashback bonus and had to spend $1 to get the next $.01 which effectively got you $20? Please explain a little more.

pretty specific conditions for claiming, and you need proof of purchase, but you could possibly get a new ps2 for $42 (plus shipping) or a free game (from a specific list). Class claims due by Feb. 06, final judges decision supposedly March 06. Read up...
is this stuff really worth it? you can get DDR2 4200 at circuit city for $35 for 512 or microcenter for $22 for 512 (both after MIR). Why would someone spend 2.5-3.5 times more for memory that would at best give them a 3-5% boost in performance? can someone enlighten me a little please.
