Thanks for this nice post OP.
An atomic clock watch can usually be told to reset itself anytime you are worried about it's accuracy. The manufacturers don't have to use accurate movements to make these watches, so they should be cheap. My next watch will be one of these.
You can get a Casio...
No news, but let's keep it alive. There's lots of good info here.
After reading about other people's complaints about STI phones, and their 4 month rebate waiting period, I'm leaning toward Virgin Mobile or T-Mobile-To-Go.
Skype has a nice IM feature that allows you to change your status to "invisible". No one can tell if you're online, but they can still send you messages and you can respond. That's the ONLY thing I like about Skype IM. Do you know if any other IM clients have that feature?
Information that's in the public domain cannot be stolen. Giving credit to an anonymous person in another forum seems kind of stupid. There's no way of knowing where ideas originate.
Here's what I found at cheapphonecards.com

If Dell wants to continue selling a wide range of products, they need market share. Low prices are the only way to get it. Otherwise they will be forgotten like so many other dot coms.

Certified mail is $2.20.
There is no need to pay for a return receipt, because you can get it by email if you actually need it. Of course you'll have to pay for it when you want it.
Prepaid is cheap. And 35 cents a day is only 35 cents a day, no matter how good or bad your math is. This VM plan is useful if you are going to use the phone daily and don't want to pay 25 cents a minute for the first 10 minutes every day.
If you had gone with VM, you would only be out $25...
With VirginMobile, if you are going to be using the phone everyday, you can pay 35 cents a day and all your minutes will be at 10 cents.
35 cents a day for pain-free prepaid... how can you beat that?
At VirginMobileUSA you can get a Kyocera K9 phone for $25 which includes $17.50 airtime and $2.50 activation fee and free overnight shipping. They have some other phones which cost a bit more but include the same $20 bonus.
Since this links directly to buy.com, and is not a coupon code, I think it's OK to post it here.

With this discount, this is the cheapest deal I could find on this product.
If you're reluctant to get involved in a deal with such a large rebate, these items...
Oh YEH!!!! CABLE SELECT fixed all the problems I was having too. Yipee!
Thanks Trevelyan.
Wish I would have thought of that before I exchanged my last adapter and then finally cancelled the order.
I get that message sometimes too. When that happens, I try another USB port (I have 2 sets), or I reboot.
The one drive that hasn't worked comes up with a Removable Device symbol, but the system doesn't see it as a hard drive. So far I've had success with a WD an IBM and a Maxtor.

You can format any drive to FAT or NTFS. Use Quick Format to get it done fast. With FAT, you will need to use smaller partitions, or you will be squandering space with large cluster sizes.
Got mine today and spent a good deal of time working with it. The good news is I got it to work with my drives (which are all NTFS) under WinXP.
The bad news is it is quite finnicky about working at all. Sometimes WinXP reports an unknown device. Sometimes it sees a USB device, but it doesn't...
As you mentioned in an earlier post "T Mobile, buy a phone for $50 or less, no activation? and a $100 phone card and I am good for a year/1000 minutes, with second year costs even less. "
The 2GB Cruzer Micro is more popular than the mini, so it might be worth waiting for a hot deal on the Micro, depending on your circumstances. I know for a fact that the Micro has been sold for less than $90 delivered.
I've ordered quite a few items from buy.com and only had a delivery...
Tracfone is much more expensive than the other prepaid deals being discussed in this thread. For instance, their 150 minute card for $90 translates to 60 cents a minute.
With Tracfone you can keep your costs low only by not using your phone.
In order to decrease your per-minute rate with...
You should get order confirmation quite quickly.
Otherwise give them a call. I've had to call them to place 2 different orders. After you call, you'll feel confident that they will ship your product.
I just checked the AT RTPE, and the cheapest 160GB drive, without a rebate, is this same Hitachi, @ Newegg for $78 shipped. And that's for the OEM version.
