Received my memory today (2 sticks of 1GB).
Running memtest+ 1.26, didn't even get all the way through the first pass. First stick has a bad spot at the 985.1MB mark. Guess I'm calling Outpost for an RMA.
I highly recommend anyone who gets this memory to run memtest on it, get it at...
Once you get it, you can go to Legacy Electronics and match the part number on the label and see what kind of module you have. Just look under the Products section. It appears they make several PC3200 flavors, CL2.5 & 3, 32x8 & 64x4.
I just wonder how good this memory is. I'm...
Just go my order confirmations. Both have the same thing - on or before Nov 03 for shipping.
Order #1 was for two units, Ground shipping.
Order #2 was for one unit, 2nd day shipping (should have done next day).
Would be nice to get these, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
Thanks for the deal!! My little "Wendy" will be so excited when she gets this in the mail. Now if I can just get her to stop walking around the house with my hammer trying to "fix" things...
I remember paying $299 for a 20MB HardCard for my Amiga 2000. It took me a two months to pay that sucker off to the computer store I worked for. I would get handed the paycheck, and I'd walk next door to the bank to cash it, then come right back and put the money into the cashbox. Of course...
I'm in for one - ordered it this morning when the post first went up. I see now it says "Call for availability", 2 hours later.
I don't care how good a camera this is. The wife refuses to use my Minolta Maxxums, so this beats her buying disposables all the time.
We use Executive Software Undelete V2.0 Server. It installs onto the server, and sticks all deleted files from the server into the Recycle Bin. It works great, no longer do I have to worry if a user's file made it onto tape, and if it is the latest version or not. The file they deleted can be...
Hooked mine up last night, works great with Charter Pipeline in the Central Michigan area. No fee for the switchover, and it only took 30 minutes total for them to provision the new modem into the pool. Only downside was I had to turn in the old modem first, but since I only live a block from...
Got in on this deal, picked up the last one that my local Staples had. My rental on the older RCA cablemodem is only $3.95, but in 13 months I'll have payback on this one. Now I just need to spend a few hours on hold with Charter Smokin-a-Pipeline so I can get the MAC address changed before I...
Okay, I'll help this guy out even though it belongs in the IWANNA thread... I can't get you under the $200 mark, but I'm close for a new one from a vendor, not an eBayer.
Take advantage of the Microsoft eWallet promo going on ($20 rebate back per $100 spent). Link

Oh, what the heck, for $33 I'll make my CUSL2 512MB instead of 384MB. Seems like just yesterday we were doing this same deal from Crucial and shouting from the rooftops because we got it for under $100.
Just remember folks, Win98 doesn't like more than 512MB of memory...
My P2B-D only does 112MHz with my dual P3-500's. I was whining (er, commenting) that at 112MHz I had to go into the CMOS and change the setting off of "By SPD". You'd think it could read the chip at that bus speed from a PC133 module! Heck, the 32MB PC100 module I just got free from...
Received my second stick of memory, it had Toshiba chips on it. Here is what I ran into with the two sticks I ordered:
Stick #1, IBM chips. They sucked. It wouldn't post at 112MHz with SPD on my P2B-D board, but would at 100MHz on my P2B. Changed the memory config from "By SPD" to...
Received one of my sticks today, it has IBM chips on it. I know this is getting off-topic, but I figured if anybody was looking for some cheap PC133 memory, they'd at least see what one of the possible chips on the board might be.

I ordered two of these drives when this post started, the orders were about a week apart. Both were the 2MB cache, ATA100 drives, shipped from the same store. I just ordered a 30GB, and this time added the Ultra100 controller. I'll know Sunday what it is.
You just need to have the rebate postmarked within 30 days of purchasing the memory. As long as your invoice is dated within the month of January, you are all set.
I have done 3 or 4 Kingston-based rebates so far, and have received every one of them without a problem. Just be smart and keep a...
Well, just got off the phone with a CSR. My case shipped out yesterday, and according to UPS will be at my house tomorrow. I too got the email today saying my order was cancelled!
For anybody not getting a case, I ordered mine on 1/6 at 8-something pm. Mine shipped out of Harrisburg, PA.
I called yesterday (the 9th) to check on my order status from Saturday night. The CSR I talked to said they were out of stock, but that my order was still good. He said they would be receiving shipments on the 11th, 22nd, 25th, and a bunch of times in February. I was assured my order wouldn't...
They showed in-stock when I saw it at 8am this morning, but before I could organize my friends to buy some they came up out-of-stock when I clicked reload on my basket.
But then about an hour or so later, they showed up in-stock again. I didn't hesitate, ordered 3 of them. The quantity was...
Bigbigsavings -
If your order number was 19456900, then we might all have a pretty good chance at this. My order number was almost 2000 less than yours. And here I thought I was late in the game, since there were a few pages of posts on the original thread by then.
I ordered two at 8:30am this morning. Didn't want to be a piggy.
Anyway, just checked my order status and it says my order receipt acknowledged by warehouse.
Looks like Egghead caught on, "The page you requested could not be found."
I have been looking at going with ServerCentral. They do the domain registration, and have 10 POP accounts with 30MB of storage for $7 a month. They allow 500MB of transfer per month with this package. I convinced a friend to sign up his site with them. I'm still looking for other...
I bought my two from www.directron.com, paid $71 a-piece plus $27 to ship them both. I think they were $69 each, but I bought the extra $2 "Intel P3" sticker, since I trashed my old ones trying to get them off the old cases.
One problem I was having with my A500 was that my SB Live...
I just received two of the FK-603 cases. I have one hooked up so far, the second one I plan on doing tonight. I think this is the best case I have seen so far (though I like the Antec SX830, but it was too tall for under my desk shelf). The case was easy to install everything into, had plenty...
I bought two copies of the Eudoro Pro from my local Staples last week for the $30/$10 rebate. While the box said it was version 4.2, inside the box the manual and the CD were version 4.3.
I get reboots as well. I'm running a P2B-D with dual PIII-500's. I think I have tracked it down to W2K and the audio card (Ensoniq AudioPCI). It seems to occur right about the time I get an ICQ message. Most annoying.
I'll be re-loading my OS in a few days, along with re-arranging my PCI...
The "dongle" is the Electronic Vault, from what I can gather. The box says that this and the Address CD will be mailed to you once you register online. I think some of their earlier packaging (maybe the ones you buy from E-Stamp direct) come with the Electornic Vault included. This...
