Just a follow-up... I think it ended up being my RAM... I finally got my hands on some different RAM and now it runs flawlessly... or as flawless as 1 stick of 256mb PC2100 can run... YAY...

AGP is a very simple thing... I have never seen a computer that didn't have one... i NEVER KNEW OF SUCH A THING... my P.O.S. dell runs my 9800pro (tried it for troubleshooting)... I know it's not supposed to be a gaming machine... BUT it should at least be able to run Day of Defeat... my laptop...
personally, i love my 9800 pro... but looks like im in the minority... I play CS:S on highest settings too without a hitch...

I'm installing XP with SP1 on Sata 160gig Maxtor on a brand new computer that I just put together... It says that setup has 34 minutes before completion and that it's installing devices BUT it hasn't progressed in the last hour. The screen that tells you many exciting facts about XP keeps...

My PC still automatically Reboots, mostly while playing full-screen games. Last night when I tried to put in the mobo cd, my dvd burner will no longer open. I switched the power connecter but that didn't work.

Temperature ruled out
Last night I put a fan blowing cold air from outside into my case. It dropped the Socket temp to 34C and the case temp to 9C which are awesome temps, but to no avail.
I ran the sandra program and it gave me warnings saying that my CPU fan was not spinning fast enough...
