I am running a BIOSTAR KM266 Pro Chipset Motherboard With Onboard AMD Sempron 2200+ and a ATI 9600. Both list having a 8x agp capability, but the max is listed as 4x in the video controls? Can that be changed somewhere and will it make a big difference?
I had posted a previous question about my fan not turning on on my motherboard to cool it down and had posted that the temp in the bios read 98 degrees farenheit. I got the answers I deserved for that statement!
The temperature is actually 98 degrees CELCIUS and my fan is still not turning...
My computer suddenly shut down on me the other day. My case felt hot and after checking my bios the next day, my comp made it up to 98 degrees. My fan goes on occasionally but for very short periods and then shuts down. It was not turning at all when my bios read 98!!! What the !$# do I do?
every five minutes or so, my mouse (the pointer) just goes beserk all over the screen and opens or closes anything that it goes over. The only way I can stop it is to press the window key on my key board, and I sometimes have to do that several times before I can get control over the pointer...
My comp crashes and I take it to get fixed. Three weeks later they give me a new mother board at no charge...you know they did something wrong!!!! Anyways, I end up with a sempron 2200+ (from a PIII 600) and no video card. I am thus interrested in purchasing on a limited budget a new video...
