i have bought downloadable virus scan software before and was unable to save it to a disk. When I reinstalled Windows The disk did not work. I had to call company an get new download. So is there a specific way I should save the software to be able to burn it to a disc?
I want to purchase a downloaded version of a cyberlink product. Can I burn it to a disc after I download it? The boxed version cost more money and to purchase the extended download costs more money. I would own the product, so how do I make it mine on a disc?
Mine is a similar build to yours. Check out the parts in my sig. It is running very nice and very easy to put together. The mobo did not need to be flashed, I just put the e8400 in and installed the stock hs and fan. running awesome.
I just built a new rig (see sig) and I also added a Hauppage HVR 1800. this card does not play well with Ulead DVD or Vista 64 or 4 gigs of ram. I talked to Hauppage and they do not know when things will change. So I am looking for another card. I found this one...
already running Vista 64. The HD that has Vista 64 on it, is also 32 mb cache so it can do the job nicely over my 16 mb cache backup drive. I am thinking about this one. anyone else have a better card suggestion?

I just built a Vista 64 system and still need XP for some things. I want to have two different drives for this. How do I set it up so that I can run XP or Vista? Do I have to change the boot order in the bios when I want a different OS? Will I be able to choose which HD XP will go on when I...

Well comp is built and running pretty sweet. Thanks to all. I now have one problem though. Hauppage HVR 1800 will not work on my system. I have tried their drivers and nothing. I am trying to tranfer VHS to my hard drive. My system sees the card but will not use it except for cable tv...
wow thanks for the info. I believe I am pretty much set for waht I am getting. I am going to go with the 1.0 mobo. I already have the 8800gts 512 and with the mobo I picked out but have not ordered yet looks like the vid card might touch the the south bridge heatsink. Will this be a problem...
Thank you all for your help. I received my 8800GTS yesterday and it is huge. I have not ordered the mobo and cpu yet. I was looking at the mobo that was suggested and noticed that their is a south bridge heatsink right below the PCIe socket. The vid card will touch. Will that be a problem...
Even thought the vid card is 2.0?
I have flashed one board and I fried it. The time I did it it was a re flash. How easy is it to flash a brand new board?
Hello I am in the final stage of deciding what to use for my build. I am going build a core 2 duo comp and I already bought a 8800gts pcie 16x 2.0 the Gigabyte is not 2.0 and the Asus is. its only 40 bucks more so I am now trying to make sure that the Asus will work with the CPU I chose...

Wolfdale...
will I need to flash this mobo or will the driver disk work? If I have to flash is it like re flashing, where I could possibly ruin it? Did that once, hve not flahed again.
I was looking at the mobo picture and noticed that it says PCI e x16 the 8800gts says PCIe x16 2.0 Should I look...
I like having one C drive and one backup drive. All of my vids, music ect.. are on my backup.
Wow I spent about 25 minutes looking for ram. all were out of stock and over $130. Thanks.
Made a few changes to my setup based on suggestions. Ram and OS are my next questions. Will I run into problems with the OEM Vista 64? Is 450 watts really enough to run this, as was suggested? I was thinking at least 500 watts but again I am unsure. Again thank you for suggestions...
Thank you for your input. I currently have a socket 754 k7 motherboard with agp. I am pretty much out of luck for upgrading what I have right now. This time I am hoping to aviod that. Do you think the current Intel motherboard is going to be around for a little while?
I have been reading these forums for years. The information I have gathered has been very helpfull. Thank you all. This is going to be my first full PC build. I have put together a few comps just not the mobo/processor or attatch the mobo to the motherboard. I have a few questions about...
Wow thanks for all the replies. Unfortunatlly my father in law is not a big time gamer. lol. He mostly just uses it for business and web stuff. I will let him know that this is a good deal. Thanks.
Where there are no unions for example Texas, salaries are a lot less and the benefits are terrible and very expensive. Also the cost of being a teacher never stops. Teachers must take and PAY for masters level classes throughout their career. This keeps the teacher up to date on practices but...
I am a teacher as well and I once saw this in the teachers lounge at my school.

Is there a way to get rid of the doubling of songs? For exampe I have one CD that has 16 songs but WMP found 32 songs I only want 16. I have fixed this before by going through and deleting all doubles but it takes forever. Is there a quicker way?
Actually I am thinking about this card because I cant afford(wife wont let me)
upgrade my whole
socket 754 system. I currently have a 6600gt agp 128. Will this be a good boost? I hear Americas Army 2.7 needs a 256 card for optimal. I play that game exclusivly.
I have 2 hard drives. There is a Windows file taking up 3.2 gb of space on my F drive. It appears to be exactly the same as the one on my C drive. Since it is on my F drive can I delete it? Im not sure how it got there or if it important. If I create a system restore point will it be there...
I never needed that before. I always just used the coax from the vcr to the card. Just like if it were a tv. I have recorded aobut 30 VHS tapes with just the coax and there was always sound. Now there is not even sound to the regular cable tv to watch live. I ran a virus scan and a spyware...
