You have a plane and a conveyor belt.

yup torque is force at a distance from a point of axis... and yes the the belt transfers torque to the wheels i didn't say otherwise..., however you were surgesting a feedback loop whereby the belt increasing in speed directly causes the wheels to increase in rotation which casuses...

You have a plane and a conveyor belt.

the belt would only continualy pick up speed if the plane continualy increased thrust. the belt moving does not directly cause the wheels to increase in rotation, consider if the plane is stationary with no thrust.. the belt moving causes the plane to move not the wheels to rotate. as it...

    lol nice :P

You have a plane and a conveyor belt.

i think they mean the rotation of the wheels when they say "the wheels move forward" however its impossible to say for certain so you could be correct, in which case in your interpretation you assume that when they the say "the wheels move forward" they mean the entire plane moves...

You have a plane and a conveyor belt.

well yes it doesn't say the conveyor matches angular velocity but neither does it say linear velocity of the wheels, however i think that it means angular in full "The plane increases it's thrust and the wheels begin to rotate. The belt compensates for the rotation of the wheels in...

You have a plane and a conveyor belt.

He calculates the force the conveyor exerts at 36000 lbs! thats quite a bit!! I think this calculation is ~correct even though he states 4.5 meters per hour instead of meters per second. then he messes up he says force = mass * speed.... which it doesn't... force= mass...

You have a plane and a conveyor belt.

THE PLAIN DOES NOT TAKE OFF IN THE SCENARIO DESCRIBED!!!!!! ok slightly different way of looking at it... If the plane was stationairy, engines off - no thrust, and the conveyor belt starts to move backwards, the plane would move with it i'd say, all agree? hence the plane starts going...

BH5 that doesn't respond to voltage?

thanks for the info!! i tried it with just 2 sticks and it's much happier, i can get 250mhz @ 2.5-3-3-7 3.2v and its ok if a bit flaky, however super pi times at this are not much of an improvement due to the looser timings stil 29s for 1m however.. i can get another 300mhz out of the cpu...

BH5 that doesn't respond to voltage?

yeah it is 4 x 256, guess thats not ideal though they are all identical, i dont think the intel boards have an option for command rate, not a bad idea to try them idividualy, though it'll be annoying if that is the cause, thanks.

BH5 that doesn't respond to voltage?

thanks for the offer, however i currently have all 4 slots filled so i assume i can't use the booster.... i was really hoping for an easy solution but i guess there isn't one!

BH5 that doesn't respond to voltage?

it deffinitly is bh5, corsair 3200LL v1.1, + i've had the heatspreader off of one to check and it said bH5 on the chip...... :(

BH5 that doesn't respond to voltage?

hmm, adding fans didn't really seem to help i can run at 2-2-2-7 200 and get no erros in memtest, but at say 220 and 2.5-3-3-7 @ 3.2v I get tons of errors on test #5.. and your right about cas 3 being no good. i guess my ram is just a bit duff?

BH5 that doesn't respond to voltage?

darn.... 3.2v is the most my board will do, still i was thinking that should get me above 200.. relaxing the cas timmings doesn't seem to help either? i run 2-2-2-7 at 200 but if i say drop to 3-3-3-7 this doesn't help me get above 200... i'll try sticking some fans on the ram

BH5 that doesn't respond to voltage?

Hey, I'm trying to overclock some slightly older hardware, i have some corsair BH5 ram that i would like to run 1:1 with my cpu at 247fsb but it just refuses to go above 200 not matter what timings / voltages i give it... up to 3.2 v on my motherboard (1c7-max3) It even seems to especially...

    cheapest possible WOW PC

it's one of the first centrino laptops, a toshiba tecra s1 has a ati mobility radion 9000, i recently discovered it only has a single 256 sitck in !! it just couldn't run wow at all, do you think it was due to the lack of ram??

    cheapest possible WOW PC

cool ok so the motherboards a good idea, 512 min any thoughts on the idea of using the laptop as the interface hence avoiding the cost of a monitor and keyboard...? thanks!

    cheapest possible WOW PC

My flatmate has manaaged to get addicted to wow, however their laptop won't play it so she spends all her time (when not sleeping /working) in my room playing on my PC! Whilst cute at first this is now starting to get annoying so i'm recommending she get her own pc however cost is a major...

    dieing p4

it really is! dieing i think dying would be as in dying clothes bearing in mind that i have a vapochill system this should help, though i can imagin the precott might melt the poor compressor.. it is only the standard edition.. 130 Watts this should at least keep the processor away...

    dieing p4

hmm i think the answer to that might be no, the graphics card is the part i've upgraded most often, though it's working fine for me just now yup thats the simpler option! might be hard to get hold of one, y would you go for northwood over prescot ? because of heat? i take it you have...

    dieing p4

ok so you think its worth it, yeah i don't really nee to replace the card, but then buying a 939 board with agp seems a bit daft huh.. but then it does make it more finacially viable! so which agp 939 would you suggest as obviously nf4 is out as there all pci-e right? I'd want one that...

    dieing p4

he he i know it is getting a little old... i'd like a nice shinny nf4 system really if it was just new moterboard new cpu that would be cool, but i'd be looking at a new graphics card as well i guess as this ones agp, + a convertion kit for the vapochill system so it's going to cost a fair...

    dieing p4

hey, I have a p4 2.4 533 no ht chip that i've been running @ 3.6 for 1.5 years on a vapochill rig.. it seems to be dieing as i have had to pull it back to 3gig for it to be stabe so i'm thinking i might replace it.. should i get a 3+gig prescot 1mb cache with ht (this would be the...

What's the best IDE setup for two DVD burners burning at the same time?

am i wrong in thinking that if you put an optiical drive on the same ide channel as a hard drive the entire channel defaults to the speed of the optical (ATA33) hence slowing the hard drive down ?

    Blue screen error...

hey I have an error popping often enough to get very annoying. just seeing if the experienced out there can shed light... it is Machine_check_exception.. 0x0000009C (0x00000003 0x8054DA70 0xFE000000 0X00200100) as i understand it from hunting about this is an error reported to...
