Hi guys, I'm a photographer and now using Pshop cs5 and lots of other programs and I think I need some extra juice. I saw a you tube video on how to overclock in the bios but thought it best to ask here. As stated an i7 860 and giga p55 ud6. The video said to disable turbo. While I build my own...
Its for both, I'm a pro photographer, I need it for converting raw files, pshop work etc.but its also for my personal stuff too..
I think I would want to stay with sata raptors at this time. Is there any benefit to a hardware raid as you mentioned ? My current intel board has raid already or...

One of my new cameras make a 48 meg file. When I convert from raw it takes 31 secs.
to convert one of these...
I have built two machines, one with an athlon 2700/gigabyte ga400 ?, the other a 3.0 p4 with an intel 875 pbz and 2 gigs ram on both and a raid 0 w/raptors on the intel. I'm seeing all the new mobos and chips coming out and I'm getting itchy. The intel board I have is not really an overclocker...
