I had professionals try and update bios. The windows installer would not work and it tries to reformat the usb device if used.

I just got my system and it seems to have only this 1 issue.
I am using windows Vista 64 bit business edition.
I went to the intel site and the badaxe 2 support area.
I downloaded the intel chipset drivers (certified and dated november 2006)
The installation reported that it may not have...

lemme know how it goes...as i still have to wait on my system :(
So i have been waiting 2 weeks for my system from Canada Computers. I phone to ask about the delay and I am told they are waiting on a part and they will call when the system is ready. Being the kind person that i am, i say fine.
Today, i decide this is just simply unacceptable and i have...

As i have suspected for awhile there are indeed real issues ... |H| thinks it is hardware related. But i will believe in Nvidia awhile longer and wait for a driver fix. But i am not too hopeful (just keep in mind i...

Friend has a 3 or 4 year old system... 4 burners/3 HDDs. amd 2500+ CPU/ all in wonder 9800 pro (AGP)...enermax 300 W power supply. (epox MB)

Friend's system has a 300 w enermax -- 4 years old (maybe 3).
Sometimes when he boots machine ...the "magic health" will give out a vdd warning on the 1.5 v (highlighted in red) ...the computer will then boot normally.
From google...one hit with a recommendation to replace power supply...
thanks in advance.
I just put 1 on 24hr hold ..as it is the only 1 still on "special".

"If you're a coder it's a [heck] of a lot easier to get high-resolution timers and events to fire [using win98 instead of win xp]"
Is this statement true or false?

I would suspect this is not true as this probably is more a limitation of hardware than software. But, if you run win 98...

It is hard to predict the future..even if it only is a few months away. :)
I have seen a picture with Ati's r600 dx 10 video part that has an external power adapter.
I have heard things could go the way of 2 PSU's --1 of which is dedicated to graphics.
