Hi all;
Anybody have this case yet? Please list here what power supply you are using and how well the cables fit, especially the ATX. My case should be here Monday, and it looks like you're gonna need a PSU with a nice long ATX cable to get a nice installation.
Thanks.
Seems like Newegg just doen't have the same team running things anymore. Seems a couple of years ago they always had the newest stuff first. Now they seem to either be way behind, or not even know about the items. I have been using ZZF for most of my latest purchases.
I just got the DFI Ultra-D. Setup was no problem and it is running fine. Haven't done any OC'ing yet. I'm waiting until I get a new case and 24pin PS before cranking up the voltage requirements. :D
Yeah; the general consensys is that if you are using more than a 6600, or overclocking you really need to use a 24 pin for the extra juice.
I'll be holding off on my OC adventures until I get my new case and PS.
I'm going to use my Enermax 430w unit 20 pin straight in without the adapter.
I'm going ot be using a 6600 GT, so 20A on the 12v rail should be ok. (hopefully)
I'm waiting for the Antec 500w Phantom and P-180 case to upgrade.
Whoa!!! :Q You better belive 120vac can kill you, and real quick if you get across it the wrong way!
You need to always be carefull when messing with live power.
This will be my first DFI (Ultra-D), but I have heard really good things about their quality control, and they are really designed for the enthusiast crowd. Another plus; they use only Japanese capacitors, so hopefully no blown up cap problems.
hehe; Same here, but a 3500+. Haven't gotten a heat sink yet. Was looking at the 7000, but saw a theread where it may interfer with the video card because of the central socket placement. I'll be very interested to see if the 7700 will actuall fit on this.
Hi 1457;
Same here. Getting ready to build. Same processor. Probably gonna go with:
- DFI Ultra MoBo.
- Western digital 10k SATA Raptor.
- Leadtek 6600GT.
- Power supply will probably be a Seasonic or the new Antec Phantom (if it comes out soon), to go with the new Antec P180 case (again...
Wow, that does look like a nice case. :D
I'm gonna start an upgrade soon?, but may wait to see how this case reviews come out before I pick up a new case.
