These are Benq DW1620 drives if anyone is wondering. At least, that's what members of cdfreaks are reporting.
This is a top notch burner for super cheap. The burn quality of DW1620's blow new drives out the water when used to burn at 8x.
This is a steal and one of the last opportunities to...
MMC quality is variable depending on where it was made. Yes it can scan as good as TY, depending on where it was made. But TY always scans great, period.
Just a heads up for anyone considering buying this RAM from Computers4sure.com. The RAM I received from them has the same part as the product mentioned on the rebate form, but it was not Micron D9HNL RAM. The chips were manufactured by Samsung. They are as follows:
M3 78T2953CZ3-CE6
This...
Will it work on a desktop? Sure. They advertise it as a portable/notebook mouse due to its smaller than average size and the conveniently built-in storage compartment for the 2.4Ghz USB wireless receiver.
Just bought this mouse for $55 shipped and looking forward to using it. Damn these...
I had this sort of problem with an e6300 and a Biostar P965PT. It turned out the shite northbridge heatsink just wasn't sufficient so it was replaced with a Zalman NBF47 cooler. The problems have gone away and even allowed me to set the MCH voltage higher than stock.
Most northbridge coolers...
Note that 2.6.19 introduces an mmap bug which can corrupt writes to ext3 file systems. The patch to fix this was introduced in 2.6.20-rc3 which is what I'll be installing tonight. This really only affects people who use rtorrent for downloading through bittorrent.
There are no ATAPI devices connected to the JMicron controller, only a single WD hard drive. The DVD drive used during installation was connected to a Promise Ultra133TX2 PCI controller.
Driver support for the JMicron chips is flaky. Also, the SKY2 driver for the Marvell GigE chips on the...
The iptables issue with 2.6.19 was pretty easy to fix. Slackware 11 ships v1.3.5 which is pretty old (~10 months). Compiling iptables 1.3.7 from source fixed those issues.
The only real complaint now would be that the JMicron controller will not communicate with IDE devices at speeds greater...
Alright. The JMicron JMB363 controller code in the latest 2.6.19 kernels seems to work, sort of. Any HD's attached to them will not go into any UDMA modes beyond UMDA2. Trying to force UDMA5 using 'hdparm -X UDMA5 /dev/hdX' returns no error but verifying the update reports devices are still...
So far one successful and one unsuccessful. Here are the details:
--== #1 ==--
SUCCESSFUL
CPU = e6300 1.3v@443x7
Mobo = Biostar Tforce P965PT (non deluxe)
HD = SATA WD Raptor connected to ICH8
This setup works great with Slackware 11 (my distro of choice). The PATA controller is a...
The Biostar P965PT board is generally a very good overclocker. However, some folks have reported problems with RAM compatibility with the board. As far as RAM that will go past 400Mhz w/ an e6300 and the P965PT, try A-Data DDR2-800, or the newer OCZ Platinum Rev 2 ram. These both work for me up...

Two questions:
#1 Is the Sempron 2800+ in this deal 64-bit enabled?
and
#2 Do you need a power supply with a 24-pin power connector to power this unit?
That's not the greatest deal when you consider Outpost normally has the 200GB IDE drive for $79.99. Sometimes they have free shipping which makes their's an even better deal. For a day they were selling the 200GB IDE drives for $69.99 w/ free shipping.
Not a bad deal if you're low on cash and looking for something to play MP3's. The only drawback would be the pitifully low Signal to Noise (S/N) ratio which is rated at 55db. The average cd player in a head unit is rated for ~95db S/N.
This was a great find. The drive arrived in a day since it shipped out from PA. They are Diamondmax 10 models. This thing is actually faster than the 160GB SATA Hitachi drive I have as a main drive. Can't beat $.35/GB.
Look for the OfficeMax +R Made in India, they are made by Moser Baer and burn extremely well, on par with Taiyo Yuden. Also, OfficeMax had a brown paper bag in the Sunday inserts and anything you can fit in the bag is discounted an additional 15%. The 15% discount applies before the $15 instant...
