thank you all :D Well it appears that BFG will be honoring the warranty and even set it up advanced rma :) I should be getting my replacement card next week sometime thanks to thanksgiving being this week.
Ty for that link! :D I think the zalman vf1000 might be the way to go for me. Its a single slot solution and it seems to cool nicely. Im particular about how much space they take up because im using them in sli as well as wanting to make sure the heatsink doesnt hang over the end of my...
akimbo is the video card though correct? That looks like something i need but the akimbo is the card itself. The zalman looks like it just covers the gpu itself...id like to include the vram as well. I was looking at a few but man they seem like they take up two slots below the card itself...
Basically BFG's new warranty sucks and since i can no longer find my proof of purchase my warranty isnt valid. Even though i bought the card last year and the warranty was lifetime they changed it this year to limited lifetime and required me have a POP.
Anyways...my second BFG 8800 GT OC is...
Easier to a point. You still have to worry about other snipers looking for you...people sneeking up behind you and knifing you...using smoke to block the sniper view. You would be surpised though how many people do not snipe for that reason. Now for maps like creek thats a good sniping map...
I never was a fan of the CoD series. I came from a medal of honor spearhead tactical clan...we played with these same rules that the 5307th has on our CoD 4 server. I now cant stop playing CoD 4 because of this tactical style play :)
Hope to see you on :)
Just wondering if any of you like playing tactically. This clan im in runs a hardcore server with tactical style rules.
Rules are simple: Do not run unless running for nearest cover or while under fire to the nearest cover. No bunny hopping or jumping down from hights that would normally...

Found this on their site a few days too late for me. However maybe the rest of you can use this. Its only for genuine Windows Vista Ultimate users as when you click the link provided on the web site it will direct you to a windows validation site then direct you to evgas site.

Well i have some bad news...many already assumed it however i held out hope.
There are a few posts on this forum and on a few others that i have told others that "Nvidia is hard at work on this issue...i know this because they are working with me to reproduce the problem" etc.. Well it...
Since you missed the post above Its an nforce 4 chipset problem. Its not a video problem. I might have posted it in the wrong forum but moving it to the video forum isnt the right place either. If anything it should be in the motherboards forum.
I just added the forum link above that deals with this active armor issue or "NAM issue". I will post it here as well :D

Turning it off isnt exactly the solution i was needing nor isnt what should be expected. If you pay for a product that has a certain feature then its expected to work. Disabling it isnt the answer. Fixing it is. However, of course, for now its disabled and has been for a while. Sad the...
Its a topic of discussion for many of us nforce 4 users. For many of us active armor corrupts downloads of large files and for some P2P programs do not work properly.
So unless your an nforce 4 ultra/sli owner and have installed Network Access manager with active armor set to...
The thread is about active armor and the corruption problems many of us have had. I had a guy i was in contact with that was claiming to fix this...however pretty much after nvidia released the nforce 5 chipset i no longer heard from them.

i tried googling it before i posted here...however the only thing i could find was info about people asking sort of the same questions as me and others saying how great it works. Nowhere do i find the "how" it works..which is what i need :/
Thats what i was thinking but i was reading some msdn blogs and people there are talking about hooking up their directv receiver to their mce computer but they dont go into any detail as to how to do it.
So there has to be a way to do it..i just dont see how it would work. Your idea would...
Im thinking about builing a media center pc just for fun but the question i have is how does windows media center control my directv receiver? The reason i ask is if you look at all the screenshots and reviews about MCE it shows the tv guide poping up via MCE on your tv (or pc) and it shows you...
I have always been wondering what is the benifit in going SATA? Other than the Raptor type 10,000 rpm drives i cant really see the benift over the EIDE drives i currently have.
Im just wondering about the 7200 rpm drives. When the seek times are the same as the EIDE drives and the only...
yea xp x64 works great for me :)
Im just wondering about the nvidia firewall and x64 XP. I dont want to install it then have issues as i did with the 32bit version of windows.
Just wondering if anyone is having any issues with (Nvidia Access Manager or better known as Nvidia Firewall) NAM under windows xp x64? I know the problems are there for the 32bit version but some blame it on SP2.
Anyone having NAM issues using Windows XP x64?
Same thing with me...i installed the 6.66 drivers with NAM and BSOD over and over and over and....
I even uninstalled the old drivers including my nvidia display drivers before i installed these new ones.
I really wish nvidia would fix this problem!
Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with NAM being fixed in these "devil" drivers from nvidia?
I hate the BSOD and i surely dont want to go through that again. :)
I was just reading up on my motherboards dimm slot configuration and i read where if i put single sided ram in all 4 slots it will run at DDR400..if i put double sided ram in all 4 slots it will run at DDR 333...whats the difference in the ram? (and please dont say one has chips on the other...
Im currently an abit fan but to my surprise they didnt make an nforce 3 chipset board for a socket 939 A64 cpu. I notice they have an nforce4 board but thats pci express so that isnt going to help me.
Anyone suggest any good companies out there that make nforce 3 boards for a socket 939...
Here is the setup...
I live .2 miles from my parents house which is i think 1056 feet. If i did my math right. I do not have a clear line of sight to the house.
I want to setup a wireless network to reach my parents house is this possible to do without line of sight?
If so what all do i...
the odd thing is my old 2100+ tbred b cpu ran 2.4ghz at 1.85v just fine. but i later rma'd it thinking it was causing a problem that i was trying to troubleshoot when it was my board all along. However this replacement cpu is out of a different batch of cpus and i cannot get it to even boot...
" freaking me out I can't flash the last bios file for this board it tells me the file is not for this system no way I got the file nf7_19.bin ?????????????????? "
Well i can tell you right now you are using the wrong bios for your board. The current bios for the version 2.0 board is 1.6...
as the topic says im just wondering since this is a downgraded 2500+ cpu what would be the max vcore voltage i can push threw it safely keeping the temps around 95F under full load?
Also what exactly is the difference between the tbred A's and the Tbred B's?
