If you are looking for a psu to run 2 gt6800 cards, the pcp&c 510 sli is the ONLY psu approved by nvidia. http://www.pcpowercooling.com/products/...ghperformance/turbocools/510/index.htm its more expensive, but from all the research I did, I decided it was worth it. You can also order it...

    help with A8N-SLI Deluxe

That board has the new 24 pin atx connector, are you using a 24 or 20 pin atx psu? you can use a 20 pin, but it has to be inserted correctly, or it will cause you problems, and possibly fry your board. I have heard of a couple of people puting it in incorrectly, read the section regarding that...

Will I be able to utilize this memory to full potential?

Sorry I completely forgot to talk about OC. Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

I've been pretty happy with my wireless mouse. Its a microsoft intellemouse explorer. I use it for game play quite often, and havent experienced any problems. You do need to get used to the "feel" as it is a little heavier, one advantage this mouse has, is it uses standard AA batteries, so I...

Which is the better deal for the buck?

I dont know anything about the opertons, so I cant help you there. I do know that not very many programs actually take advantage of dual CPU's. What I might do in your situation is one of 2 things. First option, go with an amd 3500 winchester core, clock it up to about 2.6 if you really need...

    thermal paste

you can find a list of AMD's approved thermal conducters on their web site. However if you are buying a retail CPU it will come with it, and the retail should be fine, unless you plan to OC your cpu (which voids the warranty)

Which is the better deal for the buck?

the way I understand it, for those tasks you listed, a good midrange cpu will do the job, you want as much ram as you can get, and you want to have LARGE HDD probably sata's in a raid. From what I have read, AMD's dual core will be released on the 939 socket, so you could go with one of...

    FX-53 or 4000+

for gaming you want a big screen, but not a wide screen. The wide screen will play games, but your images will look slightly distorted. stick with a normal, not widescreen for games. There are 22" and 25" crt monitors out there, you just need to find one with good dot pitch, flat screen, and...

    Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe 4GB

Hmm interesting, Asus is the kind of company, that I would expect them to get a problem like this fixed. I am going with this board, but im not going anywhere near 4 gb memory. Perhaps they need a bios revision to correct this, something I will definitly keep my eye on.

Pulling My Hair Out: Broke the Wire Off PSU Connector

well depending on how mechanicly inclined you are, you might be able to get the pin out of the plug, open up the crimps and reapply it to the wire.
