I just bought a GTX280 and this massive card extends across my sata ports on my motherboard when it's plugged into the x16 pci-e slot. I am currently using 6 of 6 SATA slots for a RAID 5 so moving the SATA cables is out of the question. I currently have the GTX 280 in a pci-e x4 slot which I...
I have some WMV files with DRM on them. I have the legal license to the files. What I would like to know is:
1. What should I use for screenshot video capture?
2. Is there better/easier way to remove DRM protected files?
I'm frequently on the go and I would like the ability to view...
Ok so I have some WMV files with DRM on them. I have the legal license to the files, only I would like to get rid of the DRM by converting them to avi files. I tried using FRAPS, but it only records for 30 seconds maximum. Is there something else I can use or a way to change FRAPS to record...
After orginally thinking that it would be cool to own an ergonomic keyboard, a few months later, I sold my Belkin Ergonomic Keyboard. I just couldnt get used to the split design. I kept hitting the wrong keys when I typed. Additonally this keyboard design moved keys around to different places...
These two cards appear to be identical, except for price.
Sapphire 550$71.00 OEM
ATi TV Wonder Elite $141.00 Retail
Should I just get the Sapphire over the ATi? Are there any differences I'm not seeing? It's a doubling in price to get the ATi. Are you just paying for the name brand...
I did a search on TV tuners. Ribbon 13 recommended this Tuner.
I havent heard of the company myself. I was looking for a tuner with a hardware encoder. If not this, than perhaps the Hauppage 150. What do you think?
I am unable to boot Windows XP from an external hard drive. The BIOS is correctly set to boot from the external USB device first. The USB settings are enabled and correct in the BIOS. Windows XP has been installed to the drive correctly...the hard drive is in an enclosure and would not install...

1. Canon A510 $149
Or

Every Turion 64 laptop that I have seen has been built with the ML version which uses 35W. There is an MT version that uses only 25W. This is even better than the Pentium M. Does anyone know where I can get one?
This seems to be a design issue with the mobo manufacturers, because every build I do with SATA only, the hdd LED never comes on when the hard drive is working. Is there anyway to make the front panel hdd LED work with SATA only hard drives?
I recently bulit a system for a freind. I overclocked the Venice 3200+ to 2600mhz. I had to increase voltage to 1.67 volts to get prime95 stable. I'm using a Zalman 7700cu and temps seem good at 50C under load and about 30C idle. Considering temps, is 1.67 volts safe for a Venice core...

I hear popping sounds coming from the sound card when its quiet and no sound is supposed to be heard. I have narrowed it down to the Audigy sound card because, I've tried different speakers and a headset and I still hear the pops. It's annoying as hell. Sometimes with a reboot it will go...
Considering some vendors have dead pixel policies, do you think its a good idea to save a few buck and buy one online and hope you don't get one with a lot of dead pixels?
I would say no, but sometimes I can't find the make and model at my local B&M and the only one around is online.
Im trying to push my memory up to 250fsb without dropping the divider. This corsair value seems to do better with higher voltage. I currently have it set to 2.9v for the rig in my sig. Has anyone had any experience with this ram at 3.1+volts? Will this voltage fry my ram?

There are four slider all together. Two sliders (one for core, one for memory) for 2D and two sliders for 3D. When I OC 2D and 3D sliders to Ultra (400/1100)...
