    BOINC Benchmarks

In the Seti Classic "Whats wrong" thread, cheating is being discussed. So it made me think about BOINC and cheating. On a lot of Forums, optimized clients have been debated as possibly cheating. I have not heard many mentions of it here... so what is the consensus on this? Does the majority...

    F@H and Proxies

I am having trouble getting the F@H Command Line to play well with my proxy. It seems to connect fine to the folding website, and gets the core. But it cannot get any WU's. I was thinking that it might be a problem with the assignment server connection, since it connects on port 8080. And...

    F@H Service Monitor

Is there a way to monitor the progress of a Folding service install? I was thinking about a program like FaDSpy... anything out there? Thanks

    New BOINC client

BOINC version 5.2.2 is now released as the recommended version. Be advised though, the following projects are not using the version 5 software yet on their servers, which means you cannot use the new client for these projects until they upgrade: LHC@Home Lattice SZTAKI Folding@Home...

    PrimeGrid

I did not see a team for PrimeGrid yet. Just wanted to make sure I did not create a duplicate team. If not, here is the link to join for any of you signed up for the project yet. http://www.primegrid.com/orig/create_account_form.php?teamid=132

    Rosetta@Home News

I thought this was interesting. It is from the project forum posted by the project leader: The Rosetta@home project goals are very different from those of Folding@home. The goal of Folding@home, I believe, is to determine how long proteins take to fold, given the sequence of the protein and...

    Rosetta@Home

It seems Rosetta@Home is still in open Beta phase. I did not see a team yet, so I created one. Join here. Anyone know what the exact difference is between this project, Folding@Home, and Predictor@Home? Seems to be a lot of protein projects lately.

    FaD Job queue server Question

Anyone know if it is possible to have the job queue server running and let other machines crunch and return results, while the host machine is not actively crunching itself? For instance, make FaD sleep or kill the THINK process, but still allow the other machines on the network to run? And will...

    FaD CJD jobs

These CJD (qm3) work units are putting my stats in the toilet that last few days. They are taking so looong. Although I cant wait till the dump. I also have a qzy cancer unit that has been computing for the last 7 days, FaDspy is predicting 21000. Hope so! When I look at everyone else's...

    Seti Classic updated into BOINC

The classic numbers from Seti have been imported into Seti BOINC today. Does this mean they are actually close to shutting classic down?

    Predictor@Home

I noticed that not many are doing this project, but of those that are... has anyone noticed that work units will go beyond 100% completion? How can that be? I was watching as I reached 100%, expecting the WU to finish. Then it started going beyond, and the time to completion went up to 6...

    FaD and Intel P4's

Has anyone noticed any major differences between Northwoods and Prescotts on FaD? I have three 2.8GHz, only one being a Prescott. Not only is the rating lower on the Prescott (average of about 136 compared to 175), but it does not produce as much by a pretty good margin. I would have thought it...

    FaDspy question

Of those that use FaDspy, have you noticed a problem when starting the app in which it asks for a disk in a random drive, say your cd drive? This happens to me on a few different machines. When I put any disk in, the issue goes away. Not a big deal, just curious. And this is on the .48 beta...
