Situation:
My system has run solid for about three months. About two weeks ago, I return to the computer after stepping away (so it's just sitting idle) and return to see that the system is locked up. No keyboard response, no mouse, nothing.
Power down, wait, power up. System hangs at...
Perhaps I'm missing it in the Asus manual, but I don't see the indication of which Gigabit LAN port is the PCIe one.
After reading the roundup here at Anandtech, I now realize both ports are run by the Marvel controller however, one is PCI and the other PCIe.

I'm installing XP Pro on a RAID 0 array consisting of two WD 74 Gb Raptors. Using A8N SLI Delux.
For whatever reason, once XP setup asks to creat the partition and then formating follows, the whole process hangs around 8% and doesn't continue any further.
