I'm looking for a couple of hard drives to store and play Very large VST Instrument Audio Samples. I'll probably pick up two 320gb SATA 3.0gb's drives. The two brands I've been looking at are the Seagate 7200.10 ($104) and Western Digital SE16 ($111). I've read up on similar drives on anandtech...

I can't get broadband where I live right now. So I'm stuck with 31.2kbs. It sucks I know. Anyways that means I can't really play most games online.
Are there any games that are work well with that connection speed that are worth checking out?
Thanks
I read that you are suppose to uninstall the nvidia display drivers before you update the driver.
I own a Leadtek Winfast PX6600 GT TDH. When I go to remove programs I see an nvidia driver and a winfast display driver. This might be because I installed the driver I got from the winfast cd and...
Most importantly I'm trying to get the tv in and out working on my new card. I don't know if it is my vivo compatible or not. I do know it has a cable with what looks like component video , s-video, and composite video plugs at the end.
I installed the winfox software and I get an error...

I'm going to try my hand at building a computer becuase if you step back and look, they just seem like advanced legos. Anyways, theres alot of technical stuff I'm not the most knowlegable at.

I trying to figure out what brand of GeForce 6600 GT I should get for a new PCIE computer. I'm not going to get SLI as it is too expensive and seems unnessisary. So I need this single card to fit the bill.
I don't know what the difference between the memory such as GDDR3 and DDR3, or what...
I'm trying to decide to go with AGP or PCIE for the computer I will build. Are there or will there be any differences between the AGP and PCIE (Single Card) versions of the nVidea 6600 GT?
Thanks
All the SLI boards have 2 IDE drives, but for with raid. (they have 4x SATA though).
With nVidea raid, can I have 2 DVD burners, and two seperately working IDE hard drives or can you only have 4 drives if 2 of the 4 ATA drives copy what ever the other 2 drives do?
Thanks
My budget has taken a slight turn. Now it seems I can only afford to spend about $1000 on a computer with out the monitor (I already have one).
But I'm trying to think about the future. If AGP is dead in 8 months then getting a board with PCIe sounds like what I should get. Note: I am...
Originaly I was thinking about getting an AGP set up for a new computer I plan to build, but SLI will allow for more upgrading down the road. What is a Comparable card to the AGP 6800GT but with SLI capibility? I only plan to buy one card now, and then get another when they go on the cheap...

I'm looking at getting into a AMD 64 set up and might be holding out for PCI Express mobo's. I see that there are some now with 1 PCI-Ex 16x and 2 PCI-Ex 1x. Do you need two PCI-Ex 16x slots to do the SLI thing?

I see it will have a CMOS...

Is there anything I need to do aside from just plug each drive onto an IDE cable in terms of drivers/software? Try to keep in mind that I am running windows 98SE and have no internet connection right now.
