This stuff is supposed to suppress your appetite. I've never tried it, so i don't know if it actually works or not.

    push start and multiport efi

I've done it before. I'm pretty sure you need a semi-working battery in it, but it doesn't need anywhere near the power that it would need to crank the engine.

1 gram of fat is supposed to be about 9 calories right?

Yeah, basically it takes 3500 calories to gain/lose a pound of weight. Obviously this is just an estimate, and varies with different people.

Digital camera recommendation time:) $300 dollars to spend!

Eh deosn't the a520 use SD? Most of the new small P&S cams use SD now. My dad just bought a Panasonic LZ2, which he likes, though it'd be much nicer if it came with a recharable battery.

How important is the thermistor in a Li-Ion pack?

I believe the main importance of the thermistor is in charging. I think some chargers actually detect when to stop charging depending on the temp of the battery. More likely however, is that the thermistor is there to shut off the charging current if the battery overheats (Li-Ions can explode...

Are gold plated printer (or any) cables worth the extra money?

The ONLY thing that gold is good for is corrosion resistance. IIRC, both silver and copper are better electrical conductors than gold, not that it would make any difference in a printer cable.

How to power a car subwoofer from my 120V outlet?

The easiest thing to do would be to buy a 120v sub amp. Any of the amps here: Text would do the job.

Does driving at 55 use less gas then driving at say 65 or 70?

In my 96 Mazda Protege I get 40mpg cruising at 70mph with the AC on. I'm not sure if that's the optimal speed, but I certainly can't complain about the fuel economy.

What automobile engine has the highest redline?

The RX-8 has a 9000rpm redline, it's not really a normal engine though
  17. D

YACT Which would you rather have?

If the RX-8 had a decent engine, I'd take it. However, the rotary in it is a joke, so I'd have to go for the GT.

    Any autocad guru's

For the video card, you can softmod a 6800 (Ultra I think) to be a Quadro FX3400 with RivaTuner. 4 gigs of RAM is probably enough, but I'd get two 2GB sticks so you can upgrade if you need to. For the processor I'd go with the X2.

    Two questions, ones difficult

    1) Yes, it would be louder. I'm not sure exactly how much louder in db, but it would be louder. 2) It depends on the density and thickness of the ball. For something thin like a ping-pong ball, there would only have to be a very small percentage of air (maybe 5%).

    9800SE with a Processor Heatsink

It would work, but they can be hard to mount to the video card. You cannot just use thermal grease, thermal epoxy may work, but it is permanent. You'd be much better off to buy a VGA silencer and/or get better ventilation in your case.

Alternative to compressed air in a can exist?

The problem with a compressor is that the air can carry a significant static charge. Canned air is special because it is designed to be static free. You can get attachments for a compressor that get rid of the static, but they aren't cheap.

Keeping laptop alive during a long plane trip

You don't need to worry much about how clean the power is because batteries are the power source. All you really need is a good quality regulator. This LM1084 regulator should work fine. The dropout on that regulator is 1.3v.
