F!
Well, my crazy volt moded and O/Ced EVGA 7900 GT lasted me almost 3 years and now it's showing signs of no return (Green distortion, even at POST). :( I'm looking at the 285 GTX but I'm wondering if my PSU can hack it and even if it could would it be worth it considering my sad CPU status...
Ok, it?s official. Supreme Commander is my daddy and I must have a computer that runs 8 player games. This is what I plan to upgrade to so far.
$169.00 Intel Core 2 Duo E4300
$239.99 GeIL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 3-3-3-8 PC2 6400
$145.99 ASUS P5B-E
~$60.00 Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme (Can not find...
My computer isn't junk but this game still lags me when playing 4 player 20 x 20 maps 1000 units.
Anybody have hardware that does not? (At 1920 x 1200)
If your rig can handle it post your hardware please. I'm guessing the lack of a second processor is killing me.
I'm looking for a set of 1GB DDR1 sticks to alleviate my Battlefield 2 and Company of Heroes woes.
Here are some specific requirements:
Must run at 230MHz+
2-3-2-5 timings
=<2.8V
Works with my motherboard (Asus A8N)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
My hardware is in my signature. I would prefer 2-3-2-5 timing and as much overclocking as I can get but I don't want to go balls out on price considering DDR2\Core2 blah blah blah.
I'm just looking for a more playable Battlefield 2 at 1920 x 1200.
678 / 1986 on my 7900 GT was stable as ever. Until about 2 days ago when while playing games my computer would reboot about 1 or 2 minutes once the game was started. It turns out my trusty Fortron Blue Storm was the problem. I found this out by adding another power supply to the system, and then...
Want: EVGA 7900 GT
Want to pay: $320 or less
Where: ??? NO STOCK ???
I've got a 2405 on the way and this 6600 GT isn't gonna cut the mustard. Any good source of in stock cards that is resonably priced?
I?m thinking about getting a 7900GT and a 2407 or 2405FPW. I wanted to transplant my Zalman VF-700 CU on to it. Does anybody have any experience or insight on if it will fit?
I have a CAB2E Opty 148 and can prime over 8 hours at 2825MHz but my computer will reboot after ~10min when I play Battlefield 2. I have brought it down to 2700MHz and it runs BF2 fine. I'm inclined to think I may have a power or heat issue. 2825MHz 1.6v = load temp of 58c, I know that is hot...
I've got a Super LAN Boy case and wanted to make a duct so I can use the rear 120mm fan to "pull" the heat off my XP-120 ala "Dell" style. Any recomendations on what to use to make this duct?
I was thinking of useing some sort of thin plastic and a hot glue gun but I'm open for suggestions.
I've got a Winchester 3000+ 1.6v @ 2.5Ghz under my XP-120 and a Vantec stealth for a fan.
What kind of temps are other people getting with an XP-120?
Silent fan recomendations?
Problem:
My current power supply (Fortran Blue Storm 500) 12v rail dips to 11.712 and I plan on upgradeing my 6600 GT with 2x 6800 GTs and the following, see below.
"The plan":
1x A8N OC'ed as far as it will go
1x Amd 3000+ .90 OC'ed as far as it will go
2x CMX512-4400C25 512MB OC'ed as...
