i've finally replaced my very old speaker cable. i noticed that the old cables have a really dark toned copper, almost black. have these cables been oxidized? after replacing with the new golden copper toned cables, with the subwoofer off, i noticed more bass with the front speakers.

according to the dolby site, the mains should be angled paralled to the wall/perpendicular to the seat. however, i see some audio enthusiests have them facing at an angle, towards the listener. are there advantages and disadvantages for both setups?
today i finally upgraded to 5 klipsch speakers minus the subwoofer. is it necessary to buy a klipsch subwoofer as well for the best sound quality? if not, what subwoofer would you recomend?
just writing a paper about assisted suicide and would like various oppinions.
example: prescribing a lethal medicine to end one's life due to a terminal disease.
the height if just a tad long compared to the width. if it was a half an inch shorter it would be perfect. all i have seen are just pictures; i haven't seen one in person, yet.
i'm feeling the older i get, the more i dislike my parents. was/is this true for others? i'm not exactly whining or being a little bitch, but i think our relationship has been further apart. i guess that's the process of growing up. :)
im short 2 usb headers since they are currently used for my FDD media card reader. i need 2 more usb pin headers for my case's front usb ports. are there any internal usb hubs that use pin headers?
i could not find any internal bluetooth adapters for my pc so i custom made one. i found a usb extension cable laying around and decided to route the cable through a pci plate and taped the bluetooth dongle to the inside of the case.

i did this stuff last year but i'm reviewing some ACT questions and forgot how to solve this problem:
given angle A = 30 degrees and opposite leg= 6, find the hypotnuse.
do i use SIN or inverse of SIN? so far i have: SIN 30 (6/x)
this is quite embarrasing to have to post a simple math...
i won't be doing anything intensive on this laptop. i'm tied between either the 7200rpm hdd upgrade or use the included 4200rpm hdd. the trade off is: if i go with a 7200rpm hdd, my battery life will decrease (~10%?) but my boot times would decrease. which option should i choose?
i came back from a 3 day vacation and found one of my computer's nic is not working. i've tried using a different switch, different patch cable, etc. so i decided to install a new nic and it worked. what caused the nic to suddently stop working? i think we lost electricity for a little while we...

maybe because i'm poor but you'd never catch me spending that much on a gpu. even worse, 2 7800gtx in sli ~$900-$1,000. i could build another computer with that much money. anyway, that's just my short rant. :)
i've been looking at laptops for the past months. since yonah is just around the corner (Q1 2006), is the performance increase, battery life, etc, worth the wait?

i have a computer that has an ip of 192.168.15.x and would like it to talk to a server that has an ip of 192.168.1.x. as you can tell, the 3rd octect is different. a friend told me they can talk to each other as long as their on the same subnet mask, however, i have had no luck with that.
i'm looking to sell my 2005fpw on ebay. if i choose to accept credit card payment through paypal, is there a service charge? isn't it like 2% of the total cost?

i don't know where most of you buy your arctic silver 5 thermal paste, but SVC has been selling it for $5.99 shipped for a while. not to mention, they have a very good reseller rating.
i will be replacing my current motherboard socket 478. i will most likely purchase the asus p4p800-e, however, i would like some opinions on intel boards. are intel boards more reliable? are there any reasons why i should choose a intel brand board over other brands?
