    2407WFP - anyone found a fix for 1600x1200/1280x960 yet?

Just wondering if there are any custom drivers or powerstrip profiles to fix the problem that the Dell 2407WFP has with 1600x1200 and 1280x960, forcing the monitor to stretch the image across the entire width of the display and not enabling the options to scale the image. I just got my 2407WFP...

Just SOL on overclocking my 6800 GT?

It's an eVGA 6800 GT. I know heat isn't an issue. My load temps at stock speeds are only 64 C with the NV Silencer 5. I don't get artifacts from heat. My issues are lower benchmarks when I try to overclock; I get pauses in 3dmark03 even at 376/1000 that cripples my score. I get a pause in...

    Chromosome challenge

Comparison of the Human and Great Ape Chromosomes as Evidence for Common Ancestry Chromosome Challenge Discussion I've never seen a creationist respond to this challenge. I've personally posted it on several forums in several discussions, and I've seen it posed by others many times too...

Riprorin!! Put up or shut up

...so are you going to change it and admit your error, or are you just going to leave it there, proving your level of honesty for all to see? Creating a thread to call out another member is frowned upon and if continued will lead to your posting privileges being temporarily suspended. Since...

    Cable sleeving - flagging tape?

I was looking here and this seems like a much easier method...I've found blue flagging tape (my preferred color) online for cheap. Looks good in pcitures...haven't found the "liquid electrical tape" that the article mentions though.

OCZ ModStream and A.C. Ryan modular PSU

Not having ever heard of A.C. Ryan, I am not inclined to trust their product... But what about the OCZ ModStream? What was the verdict on it? I haven't seen much said here about it.

    Power supply rebranding

I've heard that Fortron PSUs are really rebranded Sparkles (or is it the other way around?) What companies rebrand what PSUs? It would be interesting to know, because it would help in looking for good deals on high quality PSUs.

This system for $350? Would you buy it?

I was thinking about jumping on it (I've been considering getting/building a cheap backup PC for linux/web surfing/etc.) and the actual specs listed were good for this price range, but then I saw it's one of dell's slimline systems by researching it. Crappy integrated (Intel) video, no AGP slot...

    USB device killed motherboard??

Has anyone ever heard of a USB device shorting out/frying a motherboard? I was in the middle of setting up my new mp3 player and getting it to work with my computer, and all of a sudden my computer completely powered down and wouldn't come back up. Pressing the power switch wouldn't do...

    Fan "hub"?

All I want is something to plug 4 case fans into a centralized location with centralized power, but I don't specifically want a fan controller. I just want to be able to centralize all my fans' power inputs into one location. I would like something that uses the 3-pin plug, instead of 4-pin...

Weird beeping from my PC - no case speaker!

As far as I can tell, this beep isn't affecting anything - my computer runs perfectly. It's not a startup beep...every so often while my computer is running, my computer gives off a little, short beep. My cooling is okay on everything - my AMD 64 3200+ gets up to 45 C on load, and my video...

    Outlook 2003/Exchange 5.5 archiving problem

I have two users who get the error message: "Error while archiving folder "Inbox" in Store "Mailbox - [User's Mailbox]". The item is currently being scanned for viruses. Try again in a few moments. The users are using Outlook 2003 and the server(s) is running Norton Antivirus. I have been...
