I can state that windows server versions do not have the following:
1) Direct X Direct X Acceleration using Hardware Acceleration.
2) Direct X Direct X 3D Acceleration using Hardware Acceleration
3) Direct X Direct X AGP Texture Acceleration using MicroSoft Windows server version.

Alot of routers & wireless card combinations have trouble when using encryption and dhcp. Try using a static ip address, dns servers and gateway and see if that works.
This is where I shout in with Linux!
Install it onto you slowest computer and give it raid if you can and heh presto a cheap secure server that very few can interfere with.
Even a novice can jump into that very quickly these days and configure it easily to act as a domain controller...
I am currently looking at the same memory (3500-LL) as I have found a buyer for my old memory. I have had a terrible experience with the ballistix and am looking forward again to stable computing.
I added a poll on a percentage scale however I am using firefox and I am also wondering why the poll did not submit properly.
The poll questing was 1-10%, 11-20% etc etc.
I would also like to say that I was not quantifying greed in material or in any other basis, it is you who dervied...
I just upgraded my CPU from a 3500 winnie to a 4200 X2 and I have to say its nice. The multitasking performance is second to none when running many apps. To anyone thinking about making the switch I would say its well worth it!
Somethings arent much faster but when you are running two...
Use the norton internet security uninstaller, remove liveupdate & livereg then goto the symantec website and get rnisupg:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/su...4d6e/6bda05684c3c813e85256ede004ddaf6/$FILE/ATTKLEXN/RnisUPG.exe
This is without a doubt the best tool symantec have...
Dont use raid 0 or 5, you seem to be financially comfortable with a setup like that so go for 4 raptors and run them on raid 10, raid 5 is slow for writing. Or if you are minted/lottery winner/bill gates love child get 15k SCSI drives
RAID 5 is good for reading info and data redundancy but it suffers when writing information. My raid 5 array reads at 90mb/sec which is great but only writes and 20-30 mb/sec which is slower than a single drive because of the parity. I would recommend raid 10 if you going to be writing alot of...
sounding like a virus or adware problem, tryin running ms antispyware and a virus scan, also try a small tool called CWSshredder to remove any crap like coolwebsearch as these adware progams are becoming very messy and cumbersome. I have seen situations like this which my answer has solved...
If your in the uk you can use a variety of modern broadband routers to make the connection for you, however you have to create another aol identity to do this other than your primary login. I have done this many times using a netgear DG834 series router for people that get AOL (no comment ;)) If...
Goto my computer - tools menu - folder options - view tab and enable simple filesharing on the machine that you cannot access.
Also double check that windows firewall isnt on.
Dont do the wizard it sucks and changes the workgroup to mshome. The reason it takes so long is that microsoft uses a service called network locator to probe networks for shared folders and printers and build up a list of them on the network to display as shortcuts, which sucks. Try disabling...
For best battery life and performance IMHO its best to iniatally charge the battery for a long time on the first charge, use the battery until dead then charge it for the reccomended amount of time. I dont think its a good idea to leave it plugged in on charge as this causes the battery to heat...
Get a big flat head screw driver and use it with alot of control pushing down on the hook on the retention mechanism. Push it down the the clip slowly and gently and then lever it against the heat sink to unhook it and it should pop out.
Remember slow and controlled. If you think the screw...
I have stated this before but I had trouble in the 25xx range and went straight to 26xx and can get 2651 but i run 2640 for safetys sake as I dont want to go over the 10% vcore o/c.
Nice one, the thing holding my score back is running memory at 2T. I cant seem to get these stick running at 1T and if I do its at a really low speed so i am better off using 480 mhz at 2t. But then again I have 2gb so....
Super Pi SSE2 Patched to 2M places: 1:19 Sec
Tomorrow I might try running the memory through a divider and tightening up the timings a bit to see how that affects my time. Time to push these 1gb babies to the max!

Try 11 by 240 running ram at 1:1 using 1.5 vcore, its works a treat for me! try lowering your htt as well, since I lowered mine to 3x I have noticed the case & cpu running cooler. Running the ram at 480 will let you tighten the timings a bit as well. My memory spd is 10-4-4-3, And i get 8-3-3-3...
