As seen here. It's going for a hefty chunk of change, but hey, the Smithsonian displays one of these. While not the earliest PC, it certainly was incredibly important for the early PC industry. Pretty cool!
Towards the beginning of "28 Days Later" the protagonist is walking around London shouting "hello?!" I swear that I've heard this clip before in some way, shape, or form not related to the movie. Pink Floyd rang a bell, but I haven't found it yet (and it is not "Comfortably Numb"). Any ideas?
If you get Circuit City's frequent e-mails, it pays to check out the one they just sent out. Normally I just delete them, but this one is awesome. They are giving a 20% off coupon out. However, it appears to be a personalized code, as it comes in the form of a barcode which is printed off and...
Just got out of a friends place near State Street to find that apparently someone had started a fire on the street, causing the cops to break out the gas. I'm a bit out of it right now, so I can't comment too much, but I applaud the Madison police for being firm but fair (or so it seems right now).

This makes that card much more attractive, if this procedure can be done with any consistency. I'm still most likely going to pick up a GT though.
The case reviewed here Linkage
I'm considering picking this up to replace my PC-60. I dig the pseudo-G5 look, the case supposedly cools nicely, it is quiet thanks to the 120 mm fans, I think the 12 internal 3.5" bays is a great feature (I currently have 4 HD and am going to expand in the not...
Just got back from the Madison, WI EB Games. The Unreal action figures, which used to be around $15 were tagged at $5. However, they ring up as $2 each. It must be a clearance, so YMMV on this. But it's a smoking deal for a cool looking figure about 6 inches tall by 3 inches wide (decent...

In this thread LastExile seems to be clearly discussing and requesting information to pirate games/software. Just thought I'd let you know.
I've seen posters up around campus, and just received this e-mail. Figured I'd post it and try to do my own little part.
Edit: She has been found, now searching for a suspect....
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:
We are enlisting your help as a member of the UW-Madison community in locating Audrey...
Just received the latest 48 hour madness e-mail. Call of Duty is $32.90. Not a bad deal for a new release. Only potential deal killer is their shipping, but if you tack on something else like Civ III for $10, it's a bit easier to swallow.
A bunch of my friends and I are going to Toronto over spring break. I'd like some suggestions as to good places to eat, good bars to go to, good things to see, etc. So far we're thinking of visiting the CN Tower and Chinatown. I noticed that there is going to be a St. Patty's Day parade this...
I've got an Enermax 365P-VE. Like many of it's brethren, the 5V line is known to dip quite low at times. With my chip drawing around 100W at 1.85Vcore, my 5V line is averaging 4.65V. This is outside of the +/- 5% spec. Mind you, the system runs completely stable like this. I'm wondering if...
So yeah, I reinstalled my SLK-800 tonight to try to lower temps, but that didn't help much (64 die, 50 socket). Almost had a heart attack though - a small ship on the side of the core when I pulled off the heatsink. I really don't like the darn clip on this heatsink - it seems too tight (e.g...
How does a random number generator work? Is it based on a mathematical algorithm that has an infinite number of answers? If in a hardware form, how would it work then (perhaps slot machines use them?)?
Hi everyone, just thought I'd pass this along. Best Buy has Seagate Barracuda ATAIVs for $140 - $50 rebate = $90. This can potentially be made hotter with the 10% off coupon from magazines, but I haven't tried that. It's not the newest drive anymore, but it still has very respectable...
Hi everyone. I painstakingly tracked down the source of my minute long hang in startup (from login to being able to actually use all applications (e.g. antivirus autoprotect finally initializes, and I can open anything I want up) to the workstation service hanging. I can actually watch this...
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone happens to know what's going on here. Whenever I insert a CD (including retail and burned copies) into my tray loading Pioneer DVD, I get the spin-up noise not only coming from my drive, but also coming out of my speakers (A high pitched whining). This continues...
My first hot deal, so go easy on me. Amazon has a free 64 meg memory card included with Sony and Canon digicams (perhaps other brands too). You can also opt to have half off of a 128 meg card instead of this deal. Combined with the free super slow shipping and you have a decent deal. Just...
