Distorted S-Video output from GeForce 6200

Yea I am sure...because the TV displayed the S-video signal fine from the Radeon 8500, same S-video cable as well. The computer is grounded...I even bypassed the power strip and plugged it right into the wall, and still nothing. Perhaps an old crappy PSU could be causing these problems?

Yes, tried changing the refresh rate...no difference. The S-video goes to a crappy 27" Daewoo TV, but its never had these problems with anything else

Distorted S-Video output from GeForce 6200

I have tried different s-video cables, and isolating the chord from power sources and what not has no effect. What it comes down to in this case, is that the same cable works fine with the Radeon 8500. Thanks for the suggestion tho.

Distorted S-Video output from GeForce 6200

The distortion is hard to describe, so I took some pictures, look for the vertically stripped dark and light "waviness" in the red background: http://werkkrew.com/gerber/mon2.jpg http://werkkrew.com/gerber/mon1.jpg It's subtle, especially in these pictures, but still defiantly...

    dual 2405FPW problems

Ok, I got these two monitors, and I must say they look pretty sweet next to each other. But I have a feeling they'd look more sweet if more than one worked at a time. Basicly...what seems to be the problem, the Nvidia ForceWare drivers seem to detect one of my monitors as an anaolge monitor...

Fun with the NV Silencer 5 rev 2

It started well intentioned enough. Up to this point I have not had any major problems with computer hardware (though that whine coming from my 2405fpw is starting to get to me) so I was fairly optimistic. I figured everything would work the first time and I could be back to pwning n00bs and...

Only use IE when you absoulty have to. That is for Windows Update, or the few sites that are unuseable in anything but IE (some sites might not render correctly in Firefox or Opera but are still perfectly useable, only a rare few are unuseable) For Firefox there is a simple plugin called...

    The New Rig: any changes?

$100 extra (if that, many SLI boards are now extremly competitive with non-SLI) is piddily when dropping $1500 for a new computer. You minswell pay the extra for SLI if you want, because the motherboard is one of the least likly components you are going to upgrade down the line. Also, playing...

Overclocked BFG 6800 GT -> Lower score?

Could be a lot of reasons, but that seems to be a pretty drasticly lower score. How many times have you gotten that score while overclocked? Also did you notice any artifacts during the 3dmark run while it was overclocked? Try to run 3dmark with as little else running as possible, to reduce the...

    pci adapter? there's such thing???

It's clearly possible to convert PCI-E to AGP and vice-versa. NVIDIA does it all the time with a bridge chip. But if you want a general purpose adapter, I've never seen one. It might be more complicated than simply changing pin order and what not. And even then you'd have a video card that sits...

    Settings for World of Warcraft

I have a 6800 GT OC as well. I run WoW at 1600x1200 all details max -glow. I've found that the glow effect adds more jaggies and produces an image that looks like it was renderd on a much lower resolution. I generly get 60fps however when rotating over a detailed landscape such as a town or city...

Looking to get the Lian-Li PC-V1200B plus this weekend.

I have the v1200 and like it a lot. It of course works with any power supply quite well tho a bottom feeding 120mm psu would seem to work the best. I think it is the best looking Lian Li case. It is billed as quiet but the case alone will not make your computer quiet. You still need quiet fans...

Perhaps, everyone is so up about keeping their computer as cool as possible. How bout making a computer as warm as possible? Put your computer in your oven and set it to broil, then throw a couple of dried out logs in the oven just for extra effect. I bet you could get some mad OC in those...

    Problem cooling fx-53 w/xp-120

I don't know, but my XP-120 dosnt seem to get warm at all at least when the case is open. When the case is closed it does get warm but not any more-so than what the ambiant temp inside the case feels like. So your motherboard could be that wrong, if your computer is stable under load.

    Problem cooling fx-53 w/xp-120

Figured that. I've heard that the AS takes awhile to show its true effectivness, but even then those are high temps. Does your XP-120 feel warm? It might be that your motherboard is over reporting the temps.

    Problem cooling fx-53 w/xp-120

You're computer is in a room that is 75c....thats like 167F!!! I'd say your CPU is getting some damn good cooling for it to be almost 25 degrees lower than room temp. Perhaps your room needs a heatsink?

Case temps are higher than CPU temps, why?

I've gatherd... With the case covered, and the computer running for a decent amount of time, the CPU temps seem to level out around 35C, which is normal, and under load it edges up towards 40 maybe higher. That seems normal, though I'd still like a way to figure out for sure what the temp is...

Case temps are higher than CPU temps, why?

By the way, from what I've been reading here, it seems I applied the thermal compound completely wrong. I followed the very simple instructions that came with the XP-120; applied a thin layer that compleatly coverd the CPU heatspreader, then did the same thing with the heatsink base, even tho a...

Yes, it is, but it still seems way to cool, I believe the room temp is only 5 degrees lower.

Case temps are higher than CPU temps, why?

Holy crap, I reversed the 120mm fan on the XP-120 so it blows down, and now the CPU idles at 24C!?!? I ran CPU burn and there is definatly a reaction, it jumps up to about 35C, thing that bothers me, is once I stop the burn, it almost immediatly drops back to 24C again, is that how it is...

Case temps are higher than CPU temps, why?

Currently I'm using the fans that came with the Lian Li 1100. That is one 120mm fan intake for the hard disk section, and a 120mm outtake for the motherboard section. I realize because of the design of this case, that there is no good air intake for the motherboard, and I would probably be well...

I have a SCSI Seagate Cheeta 36gig 10K server hard disk. It has an 80pin (I believe) connector on the back and no power plug. I assume it gets its power from the SCSI cable... So I went to a local computer shop and I picked up a cable that fits, the guy also gave me for free a PCI card that...
