    Extremely high Winchester 3200+ temps

The Neo2 Platimum has a problem with temperature readings off a cold boot. Mine reads 58-59C at 100% load on a cold boot. Off a warm boot it calibrates correctly and reads 45-46C at 100% load. It is a known issue. There was a thread on it here a month or so ago with a better explanation...

    extreme heat issue - a8n sli + a64 3500+

Are these Prime runs all off cold boots? MSI has a problem calculating temps properly off cold boots and Asus may have the same. Off a cold boot at 100% usage my cpu temp reports 59-60C, but immediately rebooting at 100% usage again reports 47-48C. Poor contact with the heat sink could be...

Anyone know what motherboard manufactuer it is? Fry's always uses ECS in their combos, so I would guess Outpost does the same.

    Is my CPU too hot?

I have the same scenario with my 3200 Winchester and MSI Neo2 Platinum. On a cold boot, Sandra reports 59-60C at 100% usage, but it drops to 48-49C at 100% usage upon rebooting (warm boot).

[DEAD] AMD 64 3500+ socket 939 at MultiWave for $168

I have still not received any calls and there is nothing on their site regarding typos in their terms and conditions. I have printed and email order confirmations stating a 3500+ along with the generic approved email on the order. So far no mention was made of the product change except on the...

    *Now Dead* PNY 6800 GT $329 @ Amazon ($379 - $50 promotional certificate)

I chose one day shipping so that it would be more difficult for Amazon to cancel or change. My arrival date is 7/27 and the order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled per my order status. My CC has been charged as well.

This was perfect! I had $125 in Amazon gift certificate funds, so I picked it up for under $275 with 1 day shipping. Time to put the old Gainward 4600 in the classifieds.

    The infamous memory question.........

I currently have been running a 512 mb stick of Samsung PC2700 CTL-CB3 (aka the good stuff) for about 2 years in misc rigs. I am going to make the jump to 1 gig and am curious as to what would work best. I have a locked xp2600 that doesn't like to go over about 210 fsb no matter what voltage I...
