dual NICs? USB Wifi? wanting to connect to home LAN while using work VPN

I work 100% from home, and utilize the Juniper VPN to connect to my work LAN. Using a handy program (www.subsonic.de), I'm able to stream music from my personal computer to my work computer via a web browser while on the VPN. The VPN isn't very fast and at times there is a bit of playback lag...

able to connect to Internet via modem, but not router

JackMDS - while I appreciate your swift replies, the slightly condescending attitude within them is interesting considering your status as a moderator. Why I am using a second router really isn't the issue, however I'll explain: My main rig is in a room on the main level with the modem, and...

able to connect to Internet via modem, but not router

XBOX and HTPC connect to the Internet without any issues when plugged directly into my modem. However when I plug either into a router that is then plugged into the modem, both devices don't connect to the Internet. I tried a MAC clone in the router settings for the HTPC without any success...

2600XT - will a case fan provide sufficient cooling?

Thanks for the reply. The noise I'm hearing is definitely not what many would consider normal. It occurs for a good 3-4 minutes before winding down to a more quiet mode. I've had the card for close to a year, and it only started doing this recently. For those that live in colder climates...

2600XT - will a case fan provide sufficient cooling?

First off, I'm not a gamer, as evidenced by my GPU choice. I have an HIS 2600XT (256MB, GDDR3 if it matters) that is in warranty with a fan that's rather loud when I boot my system. After a few minutes it quiets down and is silent. I don't really want to RMA the card because other than the...

Is there a utility out there to detect if someone is using your wireless connection?

As others have mentioned, lock your connection down. When you do, you'll have an answer as to whether your neighbors are using your connection.

OP, what Operating System are you planning to use? I'm guessing Vista since you'll quickly max out your system RAM with a high-end GPU, but it will help to clarify.

Best cable to connect a CPU to a HDTV

RAM question regarding Asus M2A-VM mobo

I just purchased an Asus M2A-VM mobo and need 2x1GB RAM. According to Newegg and the Asus the board accepts ddr2 800. I found a good deal after rebate on some Corsair ddr2 800 RAM, however their site says to use ddr2 667. Should I just go with the ddr2 800 and take my chances? Any insight...

Looking to build a cheap, gift computer for this holiday season

Too much $ to spend on a hdd with your budget. You'll be able to go cheaper with the hard drive and maybe not so big. Or find a used one. Antec has a good budget case (slk3000b I think) that comes with a solid no frills power supply but I haven't seen how much they are in the last 6 months...
