So My corsair HX750 started going bad recently (heard pops, crackles and the works), luckily I had a spare 500w back up psu for my system but I had to turn off all my OC . Fortunately my components came through or I would have just....you get the picture

So my friend brought a new computer and hes trying to install windows. When he gets to the part where it asks you to choose the hard drive to install it on.
The hard drive has only 3.9 gb of free space and 3.9gb used. His bios reads 4141mb of free space(something along those lines). Basically...
My clocks are slightly higher than yours at 1080/1400 with a slight voltage increase. Some areas in bf3 will dip my fps to mid 40s ands that's with hbao and 2x aa in game. What's your minimum fps you get in bf3?
The card I have is a Sapphire OC 7950 and I have one issue right now. Every time I wake it from sleep mode, I get a display driver stops responding. It goes away after a few crashes. It happens when I put it back into stock speed as well. Otherwise after a few display drivers not responding...
I have that card and it OC like a dream. Did more gaming sessions with Crysis 2 with DX11 and the high def pack. I had to bring my core clock down to 1080 cause it kept crashing. Otherwise it is stable right now (knock on wood)
Anyway did some single player for BF3. What I noticed was a reddish purplish outline on the ceiling lights on the bank level and before that the tank that was on fire earlier in the level, when I look through the flames of the burning tank I see a purple distortion. I had the same issue as I did...
I got the Sapphire OC version of the card. OCed it to 1100/1500 and holding fan speed at 70 percent. It passed furmark and other benches I've thrown at it.
The only game I have that would probably press my card would be BF3. So I guess I will pull a BF3 marathon to check for gaming stability...
I get around 38 to 48 fps in multiplayer running 1920x1080, ultra (with 2x msaa, post aa on high, 8x af, and hbao off) on a single oc 5850. I could probably get a lot more on high. Can anyone tell the difference between high and ultra? I might just go on high if there is little difference...
I'm getting a new motherboard tomorrow and I want to use my old terrabyte hard drive from my hp computer. Are there steps to prepare that old hard drive for my old motherboard or can I just boot up from a windows 7 cd and do a format?
This is my first time doing it and I don't want to screw up :|
You really have been extremely helpful. Its puts my mind somewhat at ease. In about 2 weeks from now Im going to order the card plus a psu for it. Thanks a lot for the help and I will post whether it fitted or not. Last question. I assume that the power connector is also around 1.5 cm? and...
Well I'm just making sure. Getting some what ansty cause Im gettin it in about 2 weeks and I want to make sure it fits. Going to measure the power connector thing as well as the fp connector as well
Well the power connector thing is the only thing blocking my way from actually getting the 5850 now. The plastic component of the power connector would prevent me from installing the card. The wires themselves are flexible. Not so much the rectangular plastic covering on them. About the...
hp flawed design right there. It wont reach the psu thats for sure. Bending wires sound like a catastrophe waiting to happen. I know they wont break but I can't help but feel pessimistic <.<. Its just wheter those wires will bend to allow clearance for the card
Well I have my ram filled out already so its not an issue. You got a point about the fp 1394. Quick question what is that? and the cable near the sata port is the power button Im pretty sure. From the looks of your diagram it is barely grazing the wireless card on the second pci port. I have no...
Well I know I have to buy a new psu. No question about that. I made a paper replica of the dimensions of the card and it looks like it will fit. My main issue now is rather if I have clearance next to my DIMM slot and another thing is that my Sata cables are blocking my way, but I have 4 extra...
Basically my parents brought me this computer which came with the 4850. Heres the picture of the motherboard

The actual picture of what my computer looks inside is this.
and another angle
I know I have to buy a new psu but that...
