The Silenx EFZ-80HA2 would've been perfect (HDT + non-push pin) however it's still a couple of mm too large for your specs. It may be impossible to find a horizontal fan 1155/1156 cooler at 3"x3"x4".

There was actually no component there. It had nine equal silver square-looking things as shown in the first pic. Mines looks like the one below but 10x worse. Tried re-seating the card a couple times but no success. I also didn't overclock as I only play sports games but the performance does...
I have a pretty old 7600GT that's been acting pretty weird over the last couple of days. When I took out the card I noticed that the metal part below was completely melted away. Do you think this is the cause for the message?
I just bought an XPS M1710 with C2D T7400, 2 GB RAM, 100 GB HD @ 7200 RPM, and Ge Force Go 7900 GTX 512 MB for $2800 (shipping included) brand new from eBay.
From Dell it woulda costed about $3400.
I just installed an eVGA 7600 GT last night and it runs around 51 - 55 C idle. I also have a Dell 8400 and the airflow sucks like hell. Added a Vantec PCI slot fan and the temps don't seem to drop at all.
Looks like your card is on the high side. It should be OK tho if everything runs fine.
Hmm...
Running a Dell 8400 with the standard Dell 350 watt power supply. Cooling in the case isn't that great, but highest temps under load was around 60C.
Power strip is probably around 4 - 5 years old. Can these things go bad? Maybe it's time for a new one.
Wall outlet was...
So I've had two 6600GTs get fried from games by EA Sports. The first time it was Madden 05 and the second time was NBA Live 06. Both cards were from eVGA.
I never had any problems with much more graphic intensive games such as Battlefield 2 or Half Life 2. Has this happen to anyone before...
Is there any significant differences as far as speed and performance goes? This is will be standard value memory, no overclocking. Looking at getting 2 x 1GB sticks.
Just installed the 1.03 patched and for some reason I can't seem to steer any aircraft with the mouse. When I get into any aircraft it starts up, however when I move the mouse, only the camera inside moves. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Kaspersky over Norton anyday. As for system resources usage, this list was taken from Schadenfroh:

Man, what a bummer. I currently have 4 x 256 MB in a P4 system so looks like I'm gonna need to get new 2 x 1 GB. To make things worse, DDR2 memory is mega expensive.
It should work as it draws less power than thr 6800 Ultra and X850XT according to AT reviews. How did you arrange the power connectors? Did you use the splitter or a direct line to the power card?
What about using 1.5 GB? I currently have a P4 3.0 and 4x256 MB of DDR2. Upgrading to a match pair of 2 GB is hella expensive but a matched pair of 1 GB is reasonable. How would the game run on 1.5 GB?
Are you using the drivers that came with the Dell or drivers from the Creative's website. I've heard that the SB sound cards that come with Dell's are stripped down versions of the originals so that only the Dell drivers will work for them.
Nooo, they wouldn't tell you what it is right? And if they did, I would have a lot of trouble believing what some minimum wage cust. service rep responded to my email with.
That's true. Dell rates their power supplies according to average wattage, so peak would be somewhere in the 400 range. 7800 GTX should be fine as long as you don't have too much other stuff running with it eg. hard drives.
It's not the video card that directly determines quality, but rather which video card will let you display at higher resolutions and enable the most eye candy such as anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering. Also the type of monitor you use will play a part in image quality.
The difference between 1 and 2 is that one is blue and the other is green. Which ever color you like better, choose that one.
JK, but really the blue one is HDTV and composite out while the green one is S Video out.
You have a 6600 GT and 4 extra fans and it reaches 92C? That's unreal! I have a 6600 GT and no extra fans and it has yet to reach 60C under load.
Defective card maybe?
Cheapest I could find for a decent brand is at New Egg - $345 for an eVGA or $369.99 for a BFG at Best Buy after the special.
Are these good deals or are the prices expected to fall sometime in the near future?
