I hooked the router up with a 1 ft. run of cat6 cable and a new 10ft run of cat6 to my computer. I didn't think it'd matter, but I tried it and it worked. I'm back at my normal speeds. I might have had a cable going bad.
I got it figured out, thanks for suggestions though.
This Netgear router has a pretty long range. It is sitting in my office, which is at the front of my house, and my phone can connect to my home network from my brother's front door 8 houses down.
