Silly mistake I made in building my home server. Want to get everyones opinions on this, because I think I've been heading in the wrong direction.
I went ahead and bought 3 x 146GB 15k SAS Drives for a Dell PE2950 Gen II running 2 x Xeon E5345's and 16GB's of RAM.
I have 2 additional 1TB...
I just could never see how it was ever cost effective to upgrade... I mean if you really wanted to, Crossfiring your current 58xx card got you almost Double the performance of whatever card you had for the same if not less money...
It must be that my DIR655 simply can't do it, or i'm just an idiot. I have yet to be able to set up a wireless repeater....
Heres how the actiontec is set up
IP Address: 192.168.1.1

Well i sucked it up and went with T Mobile. Got my bold for $129.99, they offered me a temporary number in case I decided i wanted to cancel the service within 14 days.
Store was a very small store on Route 17, in Paramus, NJ. CS Reps were very very nice and down to earth. Not sure what it...
because i need to port my number over if I do that, and if I decide I don't want it, i know its going to be a massive headache trying to re-port my number either back to verizon or over to Sprint from a de-activated tmobile account...
I just want an answer to the poll based on your EXPERIENCE (NOT what you've heard or read) with one or either of the service providers.
Plans are configured as follows. Pricing is OK with me.
I will be getting 15% off for being a starbucks employee, and that applies to both providers...
hahah i got taht when they puyt in on sale for $5 :)
Hey, if anyones interested in helping everyone else out, you can buy the 4 pack of the game and gift out the other 3 games. if you split it evenly it comes out to $11.25 per game copy, which is dirt cheap.

i cant keep waiting my current phone is a piece of crap.
and on top of that, i'm not paying $300 for a new phone. Thats the problem with all these new releases.
it actually feels like a sucessor to a motorola q in some ways, just updated to WM6.
Anyways, I think I'm going to go for the HTC Touch pro, and then grab this ROM here:

People are reporting 2 FULL DAYS of battery life, which is AMAZING, plus...
i already mentioned that the chances are the prices of these phones' replacements are going to be WAYY to expensive and out of my price range.
I think im gunna pull the trigger on the Touch Pro. That combined with custom ROMs and I think i'll be set. A hardware keyboard looks nice to me...
well the thing is i dont doubt for one second that its a better phone (it probably kicks its ass)
but uh, the price, with a 2 YEAR CONTRACT for the TP2 is a startling $349.99 :o
Thats just WAY too much
haha yes sprint is ripping people off for that phone. trust me if i was spending that much i'd be getting something else lolol
Um, as far as waiting for the touch pro 2, those phones are going to be WAY to expensive for a LONG time now. Its probably not best i wait to be honest... :/...
Uh, hello? the Ozone is $50, not $150...
Storm looks like its out of the question then... I knew I'd run into that problem. the browser is what gets me, but then again the touch pro can be modded with custom ROM's and windows mobile 6.5, so thats probably a sweet option to take.
Tour is too much money for what I need. I don't need to spend $200 on the phone when I can get the curve for $50. at that, I don't even like those blackberry's at all to be honest.
I really don't want to wait any more. How much better can the touch pro 2 be?
And I'm not interested in...
So right now I'm stuck between these three phones.
There are NO other options.
I'm a heavy texter, and occassionally browse the web on my phone. most of the time i am doing facebook, but then again thats because i've been limited to a Motorola Q for my data usage.
Also, I'd like to be...
As for the X1600 versus the X700 question:
See here: http://www.firingsquad.com/har...t_x1300_pro/page11.asp
The X1650 Pro is the EXACT same sku as the X1600 XT, just with a 30mhz or so overclock on the core. Problem with most of these X1650 Pro cards is that the Clocks never match up...
This is the story.
I have an Asus G1S.

I've recently decided that the last thing I honestly need is a gaming laptop (the ONLY game i play while im out of the house is roller coaster tycoon, which runs on integrated just fine). I...
I just upgraded one of the rigs in my house from a celeron D 331 2.66ghz to a Conroe-L Celeron 430 1.8ghz. The computers performance has been MUCH MUCH better after the upgrade. i even upgraded my other sisters rig, and when she got back from vacation she noticed it was picking up alot better...
Just randomly thought about this, but what kills graphics cards the fastest? what does first, the GPU or the memory?
how does this happen most of the time? gaming? folding? overheating?
just thought about it so i felt like asking lol
From what I can tell, the X700 looks faster with more processing units inside it.
Opinions? I cant find any reviews comparing them directly, or even remotely.
hmm. i'm pretty sure I'm a low sensitivity gamer. i don't like the mouse being able to spin my player 3 times when i move it an inch, haha.
everybody i've asked i saying MX 518. I've also found a razer lachesis for sale. i may be checking that out.
I currently have the choice of a Razer Copperhead mouse, or a Logitech MX 518 mouse, either one for $25 (used off of a message board).
For some reason I'm leaning towards the razer, but everybody is telling me the MX518 is the best mouse to get.
Opinions?
