    How does this system look?

Some games that load a lot of crap from the HDD (like a lot of the single-player SW games) can really benefit from a faster HDD if you don't put it on an SSD. Atleast it would be enough that I could justify spending a little extra. One of the last SW (not TOR); took about 2 minutes to load...

Why would you ever get AMD, especially since he wants multiple monitors, which means he'll need to get a dGPU anyways. The main components I would be worried about are Intel G530 any motherboard with 2+ PCI slots any 2 half-decent low-profile GPUs (like HD 5450s) a Crucial M4 SSD about 8GB of...

    How does this system look?

Since you're getting an SSD, any HDD will really do. Unless you plan on putting applications, games, etc. on the HDD. Everything else looks ok although you're still paying for more than you need on most things.

    [HELP!] CPU / Motherboard problem

Oh, in that case, my mobo already has one pre-built into it. And it did not make any noises, so I guess it's the motherboard. Since this is the farthest I've gotten, I figure I might as well just buy a new mobo and try that out. Thanks for all the help so far all

    [HELP!] CPU / Motherboard problem

Yeah, after reading the MSI User Guide, it shows that the 1 LED means it's in 1 Phase Power Mode. This was always in full (4 LED) power mode when I used it before. I'm not sure if this means that the CPU is fried and it's turning off before it even gets past 1 Phase, or if it's jthe mobo...

    [HELP!] CPU / Motherboard problem

There is no visible damage on any computer parts at all, which is why I thought it was the PSU at first, until I tested it in another system (and another PSU in this system). No capacitor damage, burn marks, etc. That was when I got scared and thought the CPU was burnt inside. But yes, I have...

    [HELP!] CPU / Motherboard problem

[HELP] Phenom II X4 B55 Overclock

Some people have warned me about using an MSI board to overclock with. They said something about VRMs not having the same quality, and that it could catch fire. They even said that it can do that at stock, if I unlock 4 cores since they can't handle 125W? Or something like that? Is this true...

[HELP] Phenom II X4 B55 Overclock

Okay, so I just successfully unlocked a Phenom II X4 B55 and started overclocking it. I'm pretty new to AMDs in general and even more, overclocking. I've been lurking a lot and reading as much as I can but I'm still really confused on a lot of terminologies (since they differ so much on various...
