When changing the parameters to BIOS... I end up crashing it... by just the multiplier and without touching anything else. Default is 34x but changing it to 40x or so... but others like Asus z68 matx boards have no problems with just changing the multiplier to like say 40x stable.
All options were grey off... I must have accidentally initialize it as basic disks. I cannot see the 3tb as 3tb but as 2tb only... I did it under disc management..in win7 64 bit with sp1.

Set BIOS as AHCI? and then do I set them as IDE or just AHCI for all... as I have only 1 SSD and the rest are regular HDs.... Do I partition as primary Drive for the SSD or can I use a Partition manager to partition/ Setup the drive ? Windows 7 64bit.
I know the 128gb are going for around $250.. expensive but not too overkill. Most of my PCs are 1tb caviar black or the Hitachi 7k3000 7200rpm drives as main C drive with a D: partition. I was thinking of using either a SRT [a 32gb- to up 64gb SSD drive for caching + a WD Black Caviar drive...
After installing win 7 32bit I have some problems install softwares.. with permissions, etc... and some like ATI drivers... after installing pop up some errors information. PC is not overclocked and is retail from newegg. Office 2010 does not seems to install... keeps saying about permissions to...

I have the following but somehow even with liquid cooling I cannot go beyond 3.2ghz.... I just bump up the Vcore to 1.6 I believe using F5 bios. What else can be done? Thanks
GIGABYTE GA-H55N-USB3 LGA 1156 Intel H55 HDMI USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel - Motherboard - ** Updated to F5 BIOS
Intel Core...
GIGABYTE GA-H55N-USB3 LGA 1156
Intel i7 860 [95 Watts] - Gigabyte shows it supports up to Core i7-875K 95watts
LIAN LI PC-Q08A
600 watt PSU from Enermax
Would the Lian Li PCQ08A be good? or any alternatives?
I am thinking of building this system
GIGABYTE GA-H55N-USB3 LGA 1156
Intel i7 860 [95 Watts] - Gigabyte shows it supports up to Core i7-875K 95watts
LIAN LI PC-Q08A
600 watt PSU
Can this mobo support this? What about overclocking?
I already have a Q9550 oc to 3.7ghz and like it a lot... but thought of using an old Lian li Case I have with a 800watt PS already on it.... and felt the AMD seems to bne a cheaper one like the Phenom 620 or 630 x4. What are your thoughts about it... as it will be cheaper than a i7 or i8 or even...
just need a basic not too bad card for a little gaming during free time... price I thought was really good considering it was like $170 not too long ago.... $110 after rebate from live.com, after rebate, discovercard
I hear the 8000-9000 series Nvdia cards support CUDA encoding.... does it mean when using applications like Adobe Premiere, Vegas, TMPGEnc, XVid4PSP all supports this or at least helps support it. I am getting a q9550 intel which hopefully will help 720/ 1080p encoding avc or equivalent?
Looking to get the q9550 and the following:
GA-EP45-UD3P supports up to DDR2 1333
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel
will the G Skill work well or do I need to up the voltage on this one to oc yo to 3.6?
Is a DDR2 800 better for overclocking...
Planning to use this older cooler [still in good condition] on a GA-EP45-UD3P... will it be good enough or should I get the Thermaltake Ultra... which many are using now? Save the old or just get a new one?
I was thinking of getting the ATI 4850 but then saw the price of the GTX 260 only 30+ more... which is better in terms of video encoding, play a little games, CS3, etc..?
Anyone knows... as I am thinking of taking a plunge of getting the Q9550 if it is a E0 version and not the C1. Does the C1 overclock well or not as good as the E0?
Seriously thinking of upgrading my Dual core 3ghz to the newer PCs.. doing programming, oracle, video encoding x264, no gaming, etc... is it worth upgrading to the i7 core vs the Quads like the q9550 or something similar? The newer i7 seems faster in the 10-30% but is it true 10-30% theoretical...
