It isn't really a monitor problem. If you noticed, I mentioned that she couldn't even get a signal on her monitor(s).
To add to the post.. She went and bought a new monitor and new cord and still the same thing.
It has to do with the computer not giving signal to the monitor when trying to run...
Computer:
Cheap ECS A780GM-M3 AM2+/AM3 AMD 780G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. Video is going onboard through VGA
2 GB of PC6400 Ram
AMD Athlon II X3 435 Rana 2.9GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Processor
So here is the problem. My mom brings me her computer (i built this cheaply for her a while...
Dang. It pisses me off too that the house directly in front of me can get cable ( I have to resort with DSL) with speeds of like 15mbps I believe. I hate this pitiful DSL.. Downloading at 300kb on a good day. How much friggin money does it cost to just run a line a couple hundred feet.
Netflix disk. Yes. Netflix sends you a disk (for PS3) to be able to stream movies from Netflix on your PS3. My tv is a LG 42LH30.
By saying that 1080p works.. I have watched movies at 1080p.
Anyway.. So if its my internet connection.. then I have no options. It doesn't look terrible.. just not...
I just got the PS3 Netflix disk. My tv outputs in 1080p at max... so anyway, I put the disk in and start running it. I check the tv and its at 720p. Which is fine... but once I start playing an HD movie.. it goes to 480i. I play a non-HD movie and its still 480i. Of course, the HD movies look...
Its brand new though.. the good thing about it is not having to deal with contracts and I work with him.. so I don't have to deal with ebay and shipping.. and I can also pay $200 up front.. and the rest later
Yeah. I should probably wait till April when I can upgrade and get the 3Gs then.. although.. There is a new one coming out. So I wish I could wait till then.. I just want one.
Ok. This has been about a month long process almost.
Right before Thanksgiving.. I got home from work, and my computer would not turn on. I got nothing. Automatically, I assume that the powersupply has gone out. So I got another powersupply that I had and tried it. Same thing. Computer...
AMD Phenom II x4 955 $194.99 at Ewiz.com
http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=HDZ955FBBX
Great great deal considering I just bought a 940 a few weeks ago for $189 when this 955 was like $245 at that time or somewhere around there.
Just bought one. $124.19 shipped! :)
Was gonna buy the $139 from Newegg today but found this. Thats a great deal considering it was $159 at newegg just days ago.
Well.. Shows the package being shipped from Sunnyvale, CA... Won't be here till next Monday (est) as I am on the east coast. Maybe they "drove down the road" and picked up a few more 4770s... lol
I bought this yesterday from them.. didn't see this thread till now and I got an email today saying my item was shipped. If they dont have any..why was it shipped? I hoped they really shipped it.. err
Thanks again. You can get the 4890 for around $200 on average with rebates, etc. - sometimes cheaper.
Thought about buying the 4770 today.. but I think I might wait 2 more weeks till next payday and get it with the CPU/Mobo. I have bought everything else already except CPU/Mobo/GPU. I also...
I am debating on which to get. I could get 2 4770s or 2 4850s for roughly the same price (+/- $10).
It would make since that the 4850 would be faster in xfire, but there have been so much hype over the 4770.
Anyone have anything that shows the difference?
If it helps... My max...
So I guess I should just get two 4770s and wait till these newer cards come out rather than spending on 1 4890. I thought about xfiring 2 4890s.. but there would probabbly be better choices by the time I did that, so I will just get 2 4770s with better performance than 4890.
Confused... Did the games start playing slow all of a sudden? Or did you get a new monitor and they started going slow?
Check and make sure your fan on your videocard is still working.
Well... 2 4770s are faster. But if I want to upgrade past that, I have to ditch them. With getting 1 4890.. Yes, I might lose a few FPS in games.. but I would have the opportunity to upgrade to 2 4890s in the future - and by that time, I would expect these cards to be on the cheaper side. I...
The HIS version is still $199 now because they have dropped price and after MIB, $199.

Looks like they are falling for good.

Use promo code at the top... After promo code and $25 MIB... free shipping at $199.
Thought it would be good to post on here even though only for today. For those who just like to buy on newegg, its a nice deal.
UPDATE:
It is now...
Ok..

The radeon 4890. They have the regular version of 850mhz.. but also the OC version at 900mhz... Is there any difference to these cards than if you OCed the 850mhz card yourself to 900mhz?
Ok. I have kind of narrowed it down between 2 choices.
Either 2 Radeon 4770s in Crossfire..
or..
1 Radeon 4890.
Right now I am running at 1280x1024... so its a non issue.. but once I get a new LCD monitor.. running at higher resolutions.. then this will come into play.
I noticed...
Thanks man. I might definitely buy that one.
I am kind of buying this new computer piece by piece.. bought 4GB of ram yesterday. Debating on buying a couple of smaller things next or just saving for mobo/cpu. Gonna go with onboard radeon 3300 for a while then I will get the 4890.

or
Rosewill RP550V2-D-SL 550W

They are both roughly same price.. First one is cheaper, but with shipping comes to the same price as 2nd.
I do not...
