I have been doing a lot of research, and this is my first pc build in years (last was featuring an amd phenom 9500!). Finding myself slightly lost in the wave of recent technology -- so I need some opinions on the components as well as IF THEY GO TOGETHER CORRECTLY lol......

I have 2,000 dollars cash now, and i do intense audio editing.
I plan on purchasing the system with one dual core 275 cpu for 2000 and add another later.
i need intense ram and a stable mobo.
i really dont want to overclock, since it has enough speed i need.

what mobos are out for it, what kinda ram does it need etc?

ok...i was planning purchasing a pair of 275 dual cores.
now if i bought the mobo and all but only used 1 275 cpu and palced it in, would it work solo?
so i could add another one after i saved up for it?

ok....my geforce 4 ti4600 died...the monitor looked corrupted sorta like a old nes game that wouldnt work right;....so i go replace the board with a ati readon 7000 for 50 bux...and i plugged it in...it works....perfectly! i tried to overclock my mobo for some reason and it didnt work right..so...
ok, my pride and joy.....is malfunctionng after over 2 years.
i have a epox 4g4a" and northwood 1.6A been overclocked to 2.4 running fine...
let me show u how my desktop looks.....i can only boot up in safe mode now.....
but i dont know what the problem is...

Cannot Copy File - Cyclic Redundancy Check?
i get some kind of error like that when i try to copy a file from cd to hard drive. any help?
the wierd thing is...the data on the cd works if i run it off the cd
