I was assigned to write the question to guide my research in the topic of my choosing which was advancements in interstellar propulsion research. The comments under the typed question were by a peer editor who clearly is ignorant to say the least.
I am (still) considering purchasing a 15" mbpro but the 7200 rpm HDD offered from apple are extraordinary expensive. I am wondering if any of you could recommend a good 500 GB+ 7200 rpm HDD for a lesser price than that which is offered from Apple directly.

I am considering getting a macbook pro 15" at the moment and I am a physics major. this will be my first mac and i am debating whether or not to get the high resolution screen and 7200 rpm 500 gb hdd. Is this worth the $2000 it will cost?
i accidentally moved system preferences to the trash and when i tried to recover it it said that system preferences cannot be opened because it may be damaged or incomplete. my other problem is that i could not locate the recovery disc to restore system preferences. any suggestions?

i recently came upon this brand new system 7 working mac that i local mac retailer for a reasonable price.
Now both of the 100mb hdds have crashed and it makes strange noises when it goes off like it is crying. It also refuses to shut off unless I unplug it. Mac quality has gone downhill...
