'm just getting into water cooling and I don't want "performance" ram, I just want ram that won't limit my overclocking of the CPU. I'll happily under clock ram if need be. BUT, can my CPU overclock be limited by my RAM?
Thanks,

I guess I'm asking does the card natively run in single GPU mode according to the driver OR does the card run in SLI (according to the driver) but just consolidated on one card
I am running MPC-HC (media player) and have the manage 3d settings for that exe as Single GPU. However, the only time I see the actual performance gains is to literally disable SLI globally. It seems as though disabling it on the application level is not working.
I can tell because I get...
I was just at a Gameworks arcade and they had this cool monster truck game where all the trucks were highly animated/exaggerated and had guns.
Are there any PC games that are like a tuned up Mario Kart? Not a big fan of general racing games, add a few weapons and I'm golden.

Is there a difference between 720p and 1080p during 10ft mode (i.e. I'm sitting 8ft away from my machine)?
I'm playing far cry 3 and I keep switching back and forth and I can't see the difference but maybe its not switching?
I have a Gigabyte GTX 670. When using Precision X to overclock the max I can get is 1202. It's stock boost is 1100MHz. Is there a way I can go above 1202? If I put the core offset at +92 or +125 it still only goes to 1202MHz. I have the voltage settings maxed out (1.175)
Any idea why it...
That’s a great point. I’ll have to weigh the costs. With a new GPU, I may need a new case and PSU. With a new setup I’ll need a new Mobo, Cpu and fan. The second option is more scalable. I’ll probably roll that way.
Thanks for helping!
Is it possible for me to get a smaller graphics card to run in SLI dedicated for PhysX? Perhaps run my GTX670 with a (much cheaper) GTX650Ti Boost or GTX660?
I figured since 1 will be dedicated for PhysX for games it may not matter if they're different.
I have a GTX670, 8GB of RAM, Win8 x64 and an SSD. My weak link is an LGA775 Q9650 running at 3.0GHz (can't overclock on my mATX board). From what I understand the CPU doesn't really make or break game performance. It's mainly the GPU
I'm using the Benchmark tool in the game to get the FPS...
I am trying to use an iMac as a monitor for my PC. The iMac only has Mini-DVI (Output only) and I want to be able to use it for my PC monitor. I don't want to have two 24" independent monitors on my desk (especially when they can't be used together). I'd rather have one 24" monitor.
I'd...
Is there a box where I can take a video signal from one computer and input it through the firewire or USB of another computer (with the monitor attached) like a laptop and use that screen?
Thanks,
JOe K.
I recently inherited a 2007 iMac 24" with ATI 2600HD Pro GPU. I understand the only way you can use an iMac as a monitor is to have a late 2009 model.
However, I'm wondering if there is an external box I could use to use it as a monitor. I have a PC workstation that is a powerhouse and I'd...
