    Watercooling questions for 1155.

Cool, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've read that Sandy Bridge doesn't run too hot. Since I'm already doing watercooling on my current system, I figured I'd just do it again since I have some of the parts. I'm also into quiet systems, which is the main reason I went into water in the first place...

    Watercooling questions for 1155.

Hey everyone. I'm planning on building a new system soon. I actually already ordered most of the parts. Now I'm trying to figure out the cooling. I haven't kept up with all the information on watercooling in the last couple years, so I have a few questions. Basically, my future build looks...

    Editing a Website

Yeah, I was poking around all the php files and I just can't seem to figure out how I can edit his page. I think it was made a few years ago. I do recall seeing a folder titled joomla in the root directory. Would that be a good indication of using a CMS?

    Editing a Website

Hey everyone. A friend is asking me to edit his website. He lost contact with the person that originally designed it, so that's when he called me. Several years ago, I learned the concepts of HTML and such, but I don't know anything about PHP. And it seems that it was used to make this...

    HD 4830 Dual Display Questions

Hey everyone. I just got the Sapphire HD 4830. I'm having trouble setting up things the way I want them, so I figured that I should check to see if it's even possible in the first place. I originally had just one monitor, and used the Audigy SE sound card. But now, I'm trying to hook up a...

    Radeon HD 4670 Watercooling

That's true. But I'd like to eliminate as many fans as possible from the case. I'm gonna be using a Antec P180. I'll test it out before going with a water block. I did want to overclock it some, because I've read at some places that I could get it to be somewhere near the performance of a 4850...

    Radeon HD 4670 Watercooling

Yeah, that's the one I was gonna get. But that's weird. The link you put up says that it's $130, but the link I have open says $105. And they're the same exact thing. Haha, oh well. Anyway, thanks for helping me out. I think I'll just go with the MCW60. For the memory, some ramsinks should...

    Radeon HD 4670 Watercooling

Yeah, it was mainly for a silence thing. Actually, I've decided to go with the Sapphire HD 4830 now. So I should probably be good with the same block you have eh? Or even the MCW60.

    Radeon HD 4670 Watercooling

Hey everyone. I'm thinking about upgrading my video card, and want it to part of the water loop. Is there a recommendation as to what water block fits it fine? I e-mailed Swiftech about their MCW60, but they didn't know. So I decided to ask here. Any replies would be cool. Thanks.

    Antivirus Solution

NOD32 works the best for me. Like the previous poster, it's low on resources. I've never gotten a virus for the last couple years.

    Problem with recovered Word documents.

Hey everyone. My friend recently had a problem with his hard drive, and I was able to recover pretty much all of his files. However, most of his Word documents are cut short. They all appear to be about 20KB. I can open them, but they're only about a paragraph or two, instead of two pages. He's...

    Gigabyte Aurora Side Panel

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get my hands on the side panel for the Gigabyte Aurora. I currently have the one with the window, but was thinking about getting the normal one with the holes because I think it would help my computer run cooler. Any input would be cool...

Temps for e6600 with water cooling.

Hey guys. Sorry, I haven't been able to get to the computer. I'm using the 120mm fans that came with the Gigabyte Aurora. They spin at about 1000rpm, but I can't say for sure what the CFM is. The radiator is mounted right onto the back of the case. I cut off the mesh on the back of of the case...

Temps for e6600 with water cooling.

Elfear - That's a good idea. I'll try that. I actually remember reading about that, but I thought that it would have been solved by now. It's worth trying anyway. Is there a particular guide that you would recommend? Aigomorla - Everything has been properly cleaned. I used 91% isopropyl...

Temps for e6600 with water cooling.

Engraver - Thanks. I'm going to change the orientation of the CPU block to see how much that changes things. Can you take a look at the current picture and tell me if the pump inlet and outlet is correct? It appears to work the way it is, but if the instructions were backwards, that could be a...

Temps for e6600 with water cooling.

Thank you all for your replies. I'm sure that everything is mounted properly and the air has been purged from the system. The blocks and radiator are warm, so that should indicate that there is good contact. Aigomorla - I really appreciate the detail in your response. It's exactly what I was...

Temps for e6600 with water cooling.

And just now, I noticed the CPU temp spiked up to 69C. And it seems to be staying there. However, the core temps have remained the same, which is around 45C.

Temps for e6600 with water cooling.

Hey everyone. I've started overclocking, but my temps aren't as good as I thought they'd be. So I went back to stock just to see how hot the CPU would get after leaving it idle for a while. According to speedfan, my CPU ends up idling around 40C, but can get as low as 38C. Ambient is no more...

    MCP655 Pump Speed

Hey everyone. I've got my computer all hooked up and it's running pretty smoothly so far. But there's just one thing; it's running a little louder than I thought it would. I was thinking about running the MCP655 pump at something like a medium speed, and then see how it does. However, I haven't...

    Watercooling Test /Pump Question

Hey everyone. I've finally gotten my water cooling system all put together. I just wanted to check up on one thing before I just let this thing run for the test. As far as I can tell, most of the air bubbles have escaped the system. All that remain are the really tiny bubbles. But my pump is...

    Swiftech Radiator Help

Thanks for the response. Actually, I broke the radiator when installing the screws. A pipe or something was punctured, so it leaked while testing. I guess the screws I used were too long. I think there were a bunch of people that did the same thing because I found a forum where they were...

    Swiftech Radiator Help

Hey everyone. I'm in need of great help here. I'm getting a huge headache from trying to figure this out. I recently bought Swiftech's H20-220 APEX water cooling kit. But the radiator was damaged, so I just bought a new radiator, which is the MCR-220. Are these two radiators, one included in the...

    Just bought the SI-120

Yeah. I actually think my temps are still kinda high also, although it's still lower than before. I'd overclock some more if the temps weren't so high. If furballi's processor really is the same thermal envelope as my X2 3800+, then I'm jealous. Haha. I was going to buy some rounded IDE cables...

    Just bought the SI-120

There could be a lot of other factors though, such as our case and motherboard. Some motherboards will report lower temperatures, and some cases have better airflow. I'm just saying, on my hardware, the SI-120 appears to be better than the 7700AlCu I owned.

    Just bought the SI-120

Nope, sorry. I haven't used the other quiet fans before. I just got the 800rpm version today. The airflow doesn't feel strong, as it's only 800rpm, but when I mounted it to the front of my P160 case, I could at least feel cool air coming it. It's extremely silent with no clicking. I couldn't...

    Just bought the SI-120

I've been using the Zalman 7700AlCu for a little while now, and my temperatures have been around 41-43 celcius idle. I thought it was kinda high, so I decided to get a new heatsink. The sound of the Zalman was also bugging me. While it wasn't exactly loud, it wasn't pleasant to the ears either...

Getting ready to OC my X2 3800+

Hey everybody. After lots of reading, I think I'm understanding the concept of overclocking. For right now, my goal is to reach 2.5ghz. I have to admit, I haven't even had the chance of testing my CPU speed, but I'm just hoping that it goes to at least 2.5ghz because I've seen a lot of others at...

    Buzzing Sound

I've had my computer built for about a week now, and I didn't really notice this until a few nights ago. There's a sound that comes once in a while. It starts faint and grows louder. Then stops. Sometimes it'll repeat. It's a buzzing sound, not a clicking or rattling sound. It's not my exhaust...

New computer setup. Some questions with cooling.

Alright. I tried doing what Painman told me to do. Here are my results. I taped one P160 sensor to the mothertboard sensor that says ITE on it. Then the other was suspended. The taped sensor has a reading of about 42C. According ASUS Probe, my motherboard temp is 41C. The suspended sensor has a...

New computer setup. Some questions with cooling.

Thanks a lot! I'll try that tomorrow morning. Haha, I've gotten so far behind on learning things about computers in the last two years. I wasn't aware about all the new processors, heat issues, and depth of overclocking until I started building this second computer. I've got a lot to learn.

Oh yeah. That's right. I remember reading about overreporting temps. I haven't used the P160 sensors. Am I able to just stick it to the base of the heatsink?

I see. Thanks. I'll wait to see if other people have more feedback before buying anything. I forgot to also mention that even if I pulled the side of my case off, the lowest I've ever seen is 38C on idle.

New computer setup. Some questions with cooling.

Hey everybody. I always seem to end up here when I search for things, so I thought I'd ask a question here. I recently built a new system.
