Alarmingly high temps on watercooled GTX 570

Thanks, everyone. I actually flipped the ports that night and got everything up and running. 35C idle and 50C load on both cards now. I just haven't been able to get back in and update this thread since then.

Alarmingly high temps on watercooled GTX 570

I've got a watercooling loop that cools an i5 2500k and two GTX 570s (one ASUS DirectCUII and one Reference). Before I added the ASUS, the Reference card would hit about 45C under furmark, while the CPU would hit 60 under prime (furmark and prime both open). My loop is now...

    recomendations for a new case?

Check out the Cooler Master CM690 II. It's got great reviews (both professional and on retail sites). You can pick up a side panel with a window.

    PSU causing random reboot?

The 520 should be able to handle a 560ti. You should take advantage of Corsair's awesome warranty service on that 750 to be safe.

Best case for a dusty area?

+1 for the FT02. The considerable positive pressure from 3x180mm fans against 1x120mm fan helps prevent dust buildup inside the case.

*done* Considering adding passive rad to setup

Using a CM 692. I don't have pics, but basically one 240 in the top, one on bottom, and the proposed location for the 120 is in the front. Good point. I think I'll just stick with the setup I have now and exclude the passive radiator. I chose blocks/rads with low restriction, so the...

*done* Considering adding passive rad to setup

I was afraid of that, too. The rad would be mounted vertically in the bottom front of the case and there would be a 240 rad with 2 120x38 Panaflos at the bottom only a few cm away. I've also got two San Aces at the top exhausting and one in the back drawing in air. Would the amount of air being...

*done* Considering adding passive rad to setup

EDIT: Based on input and consideration, I'll just leave loop as is. OP: I've currently got an i5 2500k and two GTX 570's on a single loop with two 240mm rads and an MCP35X pump. res->pump->rad1->gpu1->gpu2->rad2->cpu->res I've yet to fill the loop (just drained and added a second...

Big Water 760i and Danger Den Maze5 GPU water block

    1. No, you do not have to use Thermaltake's products. In fact, I would suggest you avoid the Big Water and Thermaltake altogether when putting together a watercooling loop. 2. Watercooling is fairly modular as long as you have the correct fittings and a powerful enough pump. 3. You need to keep...

Does Anyone Here Ever Rotate Power Supplies Out Of Service Just Due To Age?

Well, I personally like to switch out power supplies because of capacitor aging and loss of efficiency over time. However, as other members have stated, the HX620 is plenty capable of trucking on. Switching power supplies and keeping the HX620 could give you some peace of mind, even if it's...

c2q (stock cooler) getting way too loud - something amiss?

you should be able to change fan settings thru the BIOS if your cooler supports it (or speedfan) Like God Mode, I suggest you just get a new heatsink for ~$20-30. Most companies have a budget/mainstream line that should provide great silent performance (even passive) at a good price.

My 9800GT failed yesterday... Looking at options

+1 The 5770s are extremely efficient, and are still a significant (also DX11) upgrade to the 9800.
