Should I switch bootcamp from XP 32 to Windows 7 64?

Hey guys, I'm running a bulk license edition of XP 32bit on my Mac Pro tower. It's an 8-core xeon from early 2008 with 10 gigs of ram in it (I do a lot of large format print work). Windows only recongizes 2 of the 10 gigs of ram, and generally runs like crap. I'm wondering if I'll see a big...

So the house I moved grew up in and moved away from 8 months ago got shot up today

http://www.ottawasun.com/news/ottawa/2010/08/05/14937431.html That's the house behind the cruiser. My family moved away from that house in January this year after inheriting it from my grandparents who had it built in the 70's. It's in an upper-crust part of Ottawa which rarely sees any...

Any of you give blood regularly? Found out I'm O-

Interesting to see the range here and those who donate vs those who don't. I didn't realize there were different types of donations, I figured you could just go in every few weeks and give some blood, but the red cross is telling me to come every 2 months. I suppose I'll look into the other...

Any of you give blood regularly? Found out I'm O-

I gave blood on a whim for the first time a few weeks ago, the red cross sent me a little note saying thanks and that since i'm O- (news to me) there is an 'urgent' need for donations due to compatibility, so I guess I'll be there more often than I had thought. All in all a pleasant experience...

Earthquake in Ontario, Canada - Pending news reports

I just got word from my brother in Ottawa and some friends across Ontario (London, Toronto) that there was an earthquake there... waiting on news sources, did anybody out there feel it? We felt it all the way over here. :) Admin allisolm

Could be IBS - take it easy on foods and see if that helps.

Yes, because I give a fuck that you think it's an old topic. They still creep me out.

Anyone know anything about Multiple Sclerosis?

I should also mention that my girlfriend's grandfather had it. He was functioning fine until his late 70's when he had pneumonia and didn't survive.

Anyone know anything about Multiple Sclerosis?

Do you have any idea what her symptoms were? Was there something dramatic that happened or was it a gradual progression that made her seek help?

Anyone know anything about Multiple Sclerosis?

A friend of mine was diagnosed a year ago and is doing quite well. She is on Rebif I believe. As with any neurological disease, some have it worse than others. You're better to have been diagnosed today than 30 years ago, that much is for sure.

Going to the Chiropractor tomorrow... firs time, be gentle!

Huh.. I had no idea there was so much controversy around it - I've heard nothing but good things from a few friends and my doctor.

Going to the Chiropractor tomorrow... firs time, be gentle!

So I'm somewhat apprehensive about the Chiropractor tomorrow, I have had terrible posture for as long as I can remember, and I'm worried he's going to screw something up in my neck, kinda irrational I know. Any good / bad Chiro experiences?

Calling all docs/nurses - quick question

What I would -not- do is to start looking for advice online / googling things. Try and take it easy, if you can, until you can see your doctor. If things get worse, go to the emerg if you need it, otherwise keep a journal of what's going on day to day. Take some sick days from work.

    Vancouver's homeless

Exactly, I've met my share of friendly, upbeat and generally stable homeless individuals over the years, just looking to get by. Whatever there reason for being there, if you're not in their shoes you can't judge. Many are sexually abused to the point of leaving home as a child, not a good start...

    Moving out guiltiness

I moved out when I was 18, one of the best decisions I ever made. The years I spent living by myself, while living close by to my family (and far at times) shaped me into who I am today. Who says you can't live away from home while still having strong family ties?

Feedback appreciated on side-project I've been working on

You're showing it to the wrong people then, or people who are too close to the project to give you accurate feedback. It's pretty unanimous here already. If you're serious about the project, hire a designer. If you can't afford one, see if you can get a student interested in helping you out...

Feedback appreciated on side-project I've been working on

This is why you hire a graphic designer, as others have said the entire presentation lends itself towards that of a spam website. You need to take a step back from this and consult with someone who understands how to layout information to make it appealing visually, someone who is well versed...
