in response to my stating a good looking screen is a top priority with me, that pretty much any with an LED screen will be like another. I mentioned Toshiba TrueBrite and Brightview from HP. He seemed to indicate they were no better than any other LED laptop screen. Do you agree? I don't know...
We had some things stolen from the community center. Someone said we could find the machines if and when they went online with them by using the Mac address. I've never heard of this. Is it possible to find who has these items by relating the MAC to a physical address?
If I buy a new laptop and want to replace the HD with an SSD will it be possible with just the recovery disk? Do I just take the HD out, put SSD in and then the disk?
Or would I need to buy another Win7?
This 2.5 inch drive is not recognized on my Asus Eeepc Atom netbook. It is seen on my friends larger Toshiba laptop. I use Win7. Now, why would that be? All he did was plug it in and there it is. It doesn't even show on my computer.
Thank you, Geraldo.
My Asus EEEPC connects everywhere but at one restaurant. It will connect with a wired connection there as the manager tried it for me. He rebooted his server. No change. Everyone else connects there and I connect everywhere else. I read the sticky here. Didn't see anything. I am not trying to...
I downloaded it. I right click on open space in desktop and nothing. I click on Start/Program Files and nothing happens. Wizard, Advanced, whatever I click on nothing happens. What gives? XP32, 785G,
I think I will buy my first netbook or notebook computer. I am confused about what I need to enable me to surf while just being around town with it and not at home. Do I need one with a cardbus or Express card interface? And would it then work with my existing Clearwire wireless? You can see I...
I only have two choices in the rural USA where I live, 1) Embarq DSL at 3Mb or 5Mb. 2) Clearwire wireless (not Wimax) at UP TO 2Mb.
I would like the portability of the Clearwire wireless and think I will take advantage of their seven day trial offer. Do you think the speeds that I get over...
I recently read where someone had his laptop stolen. He accessed it with another computer and activated the laptop's built in web cam. He was able to see the person sitting at his computer. I think it said he got his computer back, don't really remember. And I don't know if this is all just BS...

Is there any reason to believe that this card would give me a faster net experience as opposed to the typical onboard LAN Realtek chipset included in many motherboards? I have been wondering about this. If you read some of the Newegg...
It says, "E Blast subscribers save more."
I Googled, but didn't come up with anything definitive.

This thing tells me that someone has remotely launched malicious software on my machine.
Gives me the option of going to Trend Micro Housecall website to run a scan. Scan depends on

run over the browser...
In other words can I use it just as a wired router without dealing with the wireless
area of it. I guess I can always set up the WPA2 securely and then never use anything wireless, huh? But I need a new router, have no need for wireless and was looking at the Dlink 4100 wired only gigabit...

You will have no more than fifteen to twenty cents...
for whatever reason I have no restore points, even though I created many. I have been to
many different forums and have found nothing that works. It looks like the only solution
is a reinstall. Fortunately I have been a Microsoft user for decades and I know to keep anything of
importance...

that's thirty bucks off the normal price. I think these are supposed to be a pretty good router.
I can't leave this machine on for more than about five hours, usually without it freezing or shutting down. I received errors concerning memory address so I replaced the memory. It ran Memtest for 38 passes without an error. I don't believe I have seen the memory address again. I replaced the PS...

at least on my old computer. The selection of channels is actually very good. In fact, just a few years ago this would have been beyond belief. It is just that the quality of the picture is not good enough. It actually bothers my eyes after a short while. It is just not sharp enough.

If I record a football game will Tivo let me play it back in slow motion? Would I be able to do this with the feature set in Vista Home Premium? HD Tivo is about five hundred bucks with the three hundred gig hard drive. And about 12 to 15 bucks a month. Makes a Homerun look like a better deal...

I thought this had to be with an install on a new machine, but nowhere does Newegg state that. If it does it seems Newegg would have its "neck stuck out a mile". With Paypal discount it would be $75 shipped. I am ok with Home.
