After switching to T-mobile over a year ago I would say I am satisfied. I occasionally enter a building and sigh, knowing that I would have reception with Verizon and maybe AT&T. But usually I'm happier to be saving money.
I have made really good use out of HD Voice and free international...
I'm shopping for tablets for my brother right now who is committed to Android. I'm hoping to get another deal for the N9 for $199 on Tuesday but so far they keep trying to sell that periscope camera. I was interested in the Dell 8" tablet since it has an intel SOC but Dell doesn't seem to be...
If you really want 9" I think the iPad is better than the Nexus 9 but if you must have an Android then watch for the Nexus 9 price to drop in the coming months. Also check out this site: https://twitter.com/search?q=%23HTCHOTDEALS every Tuesday, I am willing to bet they will repeat the $199 deal...
They should be able to deploy 700mhz A Block (Band 12) in DC, Atlanta, and Kansas City in the next 6-12 months. I am extremely bummed that the iPhone 6 doesn't support band 12 though.
Depends on what you are looking for- size, price, specs, camera, etc.
The two major reasons I can think of to switch to Android from iOS:
1. Potentially cheaper
2. More freedom to modify your phone
A big reason for this is that T-Mobile simply does not have access to low band (sub 1ghz) spectrum. In the next year they should be able to use the recently purchased 700mhz spectrum. In the meantime they provide voice over Wifi for compatible phones.
I think your rationale for switching is flawed (Phone experience is primarily OS driven and iPhones tend to hold up better over time despite less cores and less RAM). That being said I think it is definitely worth it to try something new. I haven't tried Windows OS yet other than playing with...
Honestly the free unlmited x1 year for referrals and allowing for more devices per account with 2.5gb for 1.5 years is already pretty amazing. Oh yeah and duplicating your phone's data for the tablet!
This is a pretty awful website. It only allows me to look at the results for one particular zip code without any superimposed map. Because it is new there are very few results but I doubt it will be popular since many people in large cities tend to travel through multiple zip codes during the day.
The ipad air also has 1gb of RAM. So far no one has run into any problems with the RAM but there are very few reviews. I am hoping that Anand will take a look at it and see if the RAM is actually an issue.
Check out the updated Dell Venue 8 with HD

There is no such thing as unlimited anything, ever. T-mobile has identified a very small percentage (I have heard it is 20 users so far) of people who are abusing their data. They plan on throttling these individuals. These people are actually not using their phone for data and are working...
I think that Cricket Wireless is an incredible deal for what you get which is access to AT&T's network. They are going to have much better indoor penetration than T-mobile due to access to the sub 1ghz spectrum.
Disappointed I haven't seen any reviews of the new Venue yet.
Here are a few user reviews:

I think AC probably came at no additional cost. I suspect they purchased it from intel along with the Merrifield. Even so the consumer cost difference for AC vs. straight forward dual band is much lower than 1 vs. 2gb of RAM. I'm looking forward to reviews so we can try to see how the RAM...
Will give that a shot. Looks like there are some Beta drivers that came out during the end of June, will give those a shot first.
Still doing that error. Will try to use an older version later.
I turned that off and haven't seen the video error since then. Thanks!
I did run Digital Cable Advisor already.
The HDCP thing is really weird. If I first start it up it will give me the error and the screen will repeatedly flash. And then if I change the mode- full screen if minimized, or...
I recently replaced my HTPC with an intel NUC: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=REG&A=details
It has the Intel HD5000 chipset and I've updated all of the drivers. I am running Windows 8.1 which I think is part of the problem.
I have the HDhomerun Prime and it works fine on my Ivy...
Not overclocking but the original Athlon chips didn't throttle if they were overheating... this was problematic if you didn't realize that your heatsink wasn't seated properly.
Which antivirus software do you guys like best? Bitdefender, Avast, AVG, or Kaspersky? I have tried the last three and haven't really liked any of them but haven't tried bitdefender yet.
