Newegg is $149.99 preorder for the Samsung 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128BW at 128GB.
Note the difference of 120 GB vs 128 GB. I'm not sure if...
In the past 12 months, I've purchased two "5000 series" from Amazon @ ~ $110 each. Both have performed flawlessly and are appreciated by family members.
Amazon is listed as a participating retailer and currently has two offers at $121 and $123 with free two day shipping for Amazon Prime...

Had a Speedstream 5100 for years, just decided to switch. (Was having some internet problems and seemed like it was time) Wanted a D-Link DSL-2540B but bought an Actiontec GT701D because I wanted it that day.
I wish I could find a legitimate...
The current model GT-2160 runs $100 and was selected for Editor's Choice by Runner's World. The GT-21xx series shoes have consistently been rated at the top of running shoes.
Zappos price on the GT-2150 is $76. Buying last years model at 40% off seems like a reasonably good deal IMO...
Primary use will be as base for HTPC and internet surfing but with some gaming, video editing and general PC use.
I expect most processor and some motherboard prices will drop with the Intel release; my question is not so much related to computing power
as to prices.
I'm anxious to build a new system and I have selected the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3; however, I've read here and elsewhere that I should wait a few weeks until the Sandy bridge release before building a new system. Today Newegg posted the MB with Mushkin memory combo that saves $45...

Tom's Hardware ranks the GT240 DDR5 as equivalent to an 8800GTS 640MB in their hierarchy chart. The 8800GTS is available used from Amazon at $100 or on Ebay for $45 to $85. The $29.99 GT240 from Micro Center comes with a two year Mfg warranty.
A quick internet search shows EVGA to be as good...
Miro Center lowered price another $10; was $84.99 - $45MIR, now $74.99 -$45MIR = $29.99. Customer service (Brent) told me my back-order would reflect the lower price when the charge is processed at time of shipping.
Placed online order with Micro Center yesterday (Aug 12) and received confirmation; 20 minutes later I received an email stating the the item was on back-order.
Thanks TemjenGold. That's a great card. I'm not in a big hurry and I'm hoping to go one step up, 4770 or above for the price point, though I do like the idea of moving to a 5000 series card for lower power and perhaps more longevity. I'll see what Tom's April list has to say. Guess I'm just...
At $70 + $7 shipping this Powercolor AX5750 1GBD5-H card seems like a good deal.

I am looking for a $70-$80 graphics card for my daughter's Win 7 - 64 computer with a Rana Athlon II 440 X3 processor. She is not a heavy gamer and does not...
I'm installing an Athlon II X3 440 (retail) on an ASUS M4A785-M board. The retail heat sync appears to already have a coating of gray paste on the bottom. Can someone confirm that I am good to go or do I need to add paste? Thanks; it's been awhile since my last build.
