    rooting note 2 questions

i brought it to work to root as i got sick of trying to make this work on a Mac, all rooted successfully, might try a stock ROM, havent yet decided, but i have removed some bloat from Samsung, I hate most of the S apps, and i have installed soft keys and got google now to work with a long press...

    rooting note 2 questions

I found this page here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2118348 but it says its for the verizon version of the phone, but I cannot find a download that is built for anything other than Verizon. Does this work for all galaxy note 2's, or just the verizon one? I am feeling...

    rooting note 2 questions

I have a galaxy note 2, and I love it. But there are some things I would love to be able to change, and I want to try rooting. My questions are 1) is there a way to root the phone using OSX. I only have a Mac. 2) does the Spen still work after rooting? I have heard conflicting reports...

SONY jumps head first into phablet: Massive phone coming June 25

5.5 inches, and the ability to write with a pencil and i'm sold. 6.44 inches, holy :whiste: i would love this phone if it was pocket sized, my note 2 is about the max my pocket can comfortably take. but i gotta say, the waterproof, pencil writing and processor are all amazing.

    Samsung Chromebook. Buy it.

email, google docs, anything you can put on a USB or SD card can be used offline, there are also a good few chrome apps that support offline use. whilst it might not be perfect, to say it is useless offline is an overstatement. I quite like the idea and would thoroughly recommend it for my...

    What I want in 2013

Which phone was that? Are you talking about the laptop docking thing? Because that was not a true desktop OS, it was something different and cost a large fortune.

    What I want in 2013

Fair enough, i think the quad A15's only make sense if you will also run a desktop OS on it, and I personally really like Ubuntu desktop. I don't really like the Ubuntu phone though, I find the lack of a homescreen unsettling, although some of the gestures look like a great idea, but Ubuntu...

    What I want in 2013

My wishes are simple really. Either HTC needs to put out a phone with the Tegra 4 or Qualcomm 800 (which is a given), and put Ubuntu for Android on it, or Samsung should have Ubuntu for Android on the Galaxy S4. I really want someone to put Ubuntu for Android on a flagship device, I don't...

    keyboard and trackpad unresponsive

well, i brought it in, they were actually very nice, he checked all the connections and used an adhesive to help stop anything from moving, but if it keeps happening I will have to replace the trackpad and keyboard, which would set me back about £150, so hopefully this fixes the problem.

    keyboard and trackpad unresponsive

Hello, I'm having an issue and I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same experience. the trackpad, and now the keyboard, on my 2011 Macbook Pro 13" seem to occasionally not work. this has been happening more and more often recently, and now I'm getting quite worried because this last...

    Samsung Chromebook. Buy it.

I find the, "I already have tablets and ultrabooks." Excuse for not liking the chrome book a bit tiresome. I also have no need for a chrome book right now, it's still a cool piece of kit for £250, and I would say that for many people this would be the ideal computer. For me, possibly not the...

Breaking: Apple found guilty infringing Nokia's/Sony's patents!

ERRRRRRRMMMMMMMM, NO. I do not agree with the way Nokia and Sony dealt with this case, and we badly need patent reform to stop this kind of crap. That said, I think Apple totally deserved to get its ass handed to them, in polite circles it is called getting a taste of their own medicine...

Why Windows RT tablets are failing

Now I've not used windows 8, but on a mac you can lock all the settings so you cannot change anything, but you don't need a password to log in to the computer, couldn't they do something similar on windows computers. Then you wouldn't need to track down anyone.

Why Windows RT tablets are failing

can't you require a password to make changes to an account but not require a password to log in? also, punks could create a pin code on an ipad just as easily as creating a password for windows RT, so i doubt thats the reason. I have experienced this with Microsoft computers everywhere i...

    Nexus 7 Music Apps

i use the amazon match service, works the same as iTunes Match, except you can use it with everything, you aren't limited to iOS. I've used both amazon and itunes match, they both work well. I would use google music, but the damn service is not available in the UK. bloody annoying. EDIT...

Woz calls out apple for being arrogant with screen size!

If i were to buy a new phone just now, i would buy the HTC oneX or the SGSIII, because they are the best phones, best processors, best screens, best camera's, etc. If however, HTC or LG or whoever built a premium device, with the best processor and a great camera and great resolution and the...

why cant other companies use better materials for thier phones like apple?

i think the question is about the perception of quality. no doubt the materials found encasing the iphone are premium quality, but not always so durable, plus, HTC has released phones with premium materials as well, but maybe not the finesse you find in the iphone. personally i like the feel...

Why was the news/media so misleading about phone prices?

I am reposting this, as this seems to me to be the real difficulty everyone is having. I stand by this statement, everyone else is talking in general terms, and you are talking about a very particular and specific case. Again, I would change the title of the thread because the title makes...

Why was the news/media so misleading about phone prices?

Thats a pay as you go deal, not contract, you commented on the "prepaid" deals in the uk, not the contract deals.
  29. kubani1

Why was the news/media so misleading about phone prices?

Yes, in this isolated instance it is much much less expensive to buy the iPhone outright, but your thread title is "why is the news/media so misleading about phone prices" Which suggests that perhaps this article is about more than just the iPhone and tmobile, I thought you were using it as...

Why was the news/media so misleading about phone prices?

I don't mean to sound smug, and I realise this might sound smug, is this thread about the perceived cost of phones, or about tmobile?

Why was the news/media so misleading about phone prices?

Well maybe the uk doesn't rip off customers as bad, but I spend about an extra £100 over the course of two years with my phone on contract, which in my mind is completely okay. And no I cannot afford £400 on a phone, I live on a budget, but I use that phone for work, I literally cannot afford...

Why was the news/media so misleading about phone prices?

I think for most people, myself included, I cannot afford $600+, or in my case £400+, on a phone all at once. I can afford a monthly contract though. Plus, £30 a month is much less of a shock to the system than £400. Edit: if by chance you have the money, than yes by all means it is...

    Desire s update for ics

Im both excited and enormously pissed off. The good news, htc has delivered an ICS update for the Desire S. which is great. The bad news, its not an OTA update. Normally that would not be a problem, but to update I need HTC sync, and HTC sync is only available on windows... I use a...

So I wrote an e-mail to Tim Cook... **WITH RESPONSE (not from Tim Cook)**

i agree, i hate it when i'm just browsing and staff start bothering me, leave me alone, if i want help, i'll ask for it. the only thing that i do want is that staff is properly trained so they can answer my questions, i find it irritating if i know more than they do about their own products.

Sorry, have to rave about CalenGoo calendar app.

yeah, that was my main problem, and to be fair, i couldn't be arsed to to change all those things. Business cal looks nicer straight out of the box, and i really don't need to drag and drop at all, i just had to be able to sync multiple calendars.
