For me Dual Core is junk. But it all depends on what your going to be doing. For gaming, depends on the game. Like encoding anything on that order, if you wanna spend hours doing it w/ a DC have fun. But for the price of a good dual core, you can get a good quad core.
Really no point in buying...
I was looking at different remotes with qwerty keyboards. I know they replace mouse and keyboard, but has anyone seen a remote like that but also controls the TV and receiver.
To answer your question. If you really want Mac OS and thats what you. Yes I personally think its better then buying a PC from Apple. Would be a lot cheaper. I dont remember what parts you need for it to work.
Id dump the I7 go i5 instead and save yourself the $100 there. Mine flies thru everything I need. Looking at benchmarks. I could justify spending the extra money on i7 for just Hyperthreading.
For power supply, Corsair makes really good PSUs. 750tx is around $110ish. 750hx modular ones go...
Im either gettn a 5870 if prices drop some or w/e Nvidia release. Im guessing that the 470 and 480gtx are gonna be crazy prices so im taking them off my list right now. I hear everyone says late April for the 360 and 380gtx. Sick of waiting. Might just buy the 5870 and call it good. Nvidia is...
Iv seen benchmarks with water cooling thats not top of the line that keeps i5/i7 under load under 50C. Air seems to be like 70s under load.
I can justify spending the extra $70 for a water cooling to drop it 10-20C under load.
Guess i'll get either one of these
http://www.svc.com/ifx-14.html
http://www.svc.com/u120e-bp-rev-c.html or the TRUE black version
http://www.svc.com/megahalems.html
guess i'll pick up one of these. Seems like they are all pretty much the same.
What you think?
Well i dont mind spending the $550 for a new comp. I cant see paying $250 for quad core for my skt 775 thats dead. I need a quad core anyways. I was going to use my current set up for my htpc. So either way i still gotta buy a cpu/ram/mobo.
I was looking at getting denger den.
i was just going to water cool my cpu. Nothing else if that helps
mpc-cpu block 1156 for i5 $43
dd12v-d5 pump $61 with the 20% off
black ice pro ii radiator $35
If thats low end. Could you give me an example of a higher end.
I cant make up my mind. I was only going to over clock to around 3.5ghz. Not looking to push 4ghz or anything. I wanna keep my temps down. But i see heatsinks under load in the 70s.
Price doesnt matter.
$150 for water cooling Danger Den water cooling
$70 for good heatsink
Iv looked...
My thing is, why does Cervat Yerli the CEO and President of Crytek said himself crysis runs so much better on a quad core over dual core? It prolly uses 2 cores for the game and puts any other load from the game onto the other cores. maybe like AI and physics?
So from looking at...
i went from a AMD 3500 single core to a E6550 even at stock speeds for the 6550 i saw a night and day difference in games. FPS went way up, loading times. It was worth it.
well i just got done playing BF2 and my temps right now are 27C with Core temp .95. I'll see what it does when i let it idle. I was just worried that a sensor is bad or something
I just have a question. I've looked and have not seen anything about it. I OC'd my E6550 to 2.8ghz both cores run at like 28-33C at idle, lil higher under load. But my question is when my comp sits there idle for a while my temps are 21C for both cores. I used TAT and Speedfan both say the same...
i just looked at my online statement. i orderd $57.81 from them and i got charged $87.81. Sounds like they are tryn to rip online orders off. Gonna call them as soon as they open!! I want my $30 dollars back! Not given out charity here!!
