    SATA compatability question

I just purchased a Gigabyte X58-UD3R board (along with a bunch of other goodies). I currently have a pair of SATA 150 hard drives. Will the SATA 150 drives be compatible with the SATA 2/3 connections on my new mobo? I know I can take it all out of the box and try it but I don't want to...

    ASUS VW266H vs. ASUS VE278Q

Like a two card upgrade from 6850 to 6870? That's about $130ish after tax. I think I have my answer, the 25.5".

    ASUS VW266H vs. ASUS VE278Q

I was looking at that option and yes, an i5-760 would save $60 but what MB would you recommend? Seems like most SLI 8x/8x boards are ~180-200. The X58-UD3R is $199. RAM is $119 which seems preety cost effective against dual channel, although I probably could get 8gb at the same price.

    1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing. This machine will be used almost soley for gaming. Games include: Civ 5, SC 2, Borderlands and Guild Wars 2 (when it finally comes out) 2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's...
